The bedrooms consist of a king-size with en-suite and double. There is a bathroom with bath, shower over, basin, and heated towel rail and WC. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen, and towels are included in the rent. Outside, there is an enclosed rear patio with furniture and roadside parking available. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Uncover the best of Cumbria and its surrounding areas with a holiday at Poets Retreat. Note: There is a good housekeeping bond of GBP 250. Note: Steep stairs, please take care
Amenities: Gas central heating. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, toaster. TV, WiFi, radio. Fuel, power and starter pack for woodburning stove inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Highchair available. Roadside parking available. Enclosed rear patio with furniture. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop and pub 0.2 miles. Note: Steep stairs, please take care
Region: Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. From walking in the mountains to exhilarating watersports or just a gentle cruise on a steam-powered yacht, Cumbria is the perfect holiday destination.
Town: The small country market town of Cockermouth is situated in the quiet north-western part of the Lake District, a largely undiscovered and unspoilt area, yet only 13 miles from Keswick. The town is famous as the birthplace of both William Wordsworth and Fletcher Christian (of Mutiny on the Bounty fame) and Wordsworth’s Georgian family home, on the main street, is now a popular visitor attraction, owned by the National Trust. Cockermouth offers a good variety of shops, pubs and places to eat, but (of course) the main attraction of the area is the beautiful scenery and excellent walking in the northern lakes – Bassenthwaite Lake, Ennerdale Water and Derwent Water.
