Pool, relax, and Olives at Masseria Don Tommaso and its guesthouse
La Masseria Don Tommaso è una splendida antica casa in pietra situata in campagna, a 2 km da Specchia, etichettata come "uno dei borghi più belli d'Italia" . Don Tommaso sorge su un uliveto di 1 ettaro con piscina privata e puo' essere affittata insieme con una guesthouse vicino alla piacina per ukteriori 4 persone. La villa si trova a pochi km dalla costa rocciosa dell'Adriatico e a circa 15 km dalle spiagge di sabbia dello Ionio.
In meno di 45 minuti di auto è possibile raggiungere Lecce (sito Unesco), Otranto, Gallipoli e i tanti piccoli paesi dell'entroterra, ognuno con un castello o una chiesa da vedere. E' molto bello anche affittare una bicicletta e visitare la campagna: ci sono decine di chilometri di piccole strade dove le macchine non passano quasi mai. Se amate il mare, si affittano piccole barche a Castro Marina o a Santa Maria di Leuca. Tutto il Salento ha poi un'intensa attività culturale e di spettacoli serali. Infine, non mancano i ristoranti dove gustare le specialità salentine.

We are a family from Rome and Din Tommaso is our vacation home. We spent several years between Washington DC and Brussels before heading back to Rome.
Why they chose this property
We discover Salento thanks to friends we met in Washington. It is a vibrant area, full of cultural activities and very international. At the same time, it is very autentic, with unique food and very kind local people.
What makes this property unique
La casa e' situata all'interno di un terreno pieno di alberi, ulivi ma anche molti alberi da frutta: arance, limoni, albicocche, gelsi, corbezzoli, mele, noci... La piscina immersa nel verde e' unica e la campagna intorno invita a fare lunghe passeggiate. Il mare poi e' fantastico: forse il piu' bello che conosco in Italia.
L'interno e' molto curato in quanto si tratta della nostra casa che usiamo per le vacanze. La guesthouse e' stata aggiunta di recente rispettando lo stile della casa principale e del luogo.
