Welsh Idyll

Large house beautifully restored, although with bags of character and original features. Plenty of rooms for 9 of us 3 doggies and sometimes 5 cars! (3 students!) The hot tub was a welcome bonus as the Welsh weather was very kind.

Not worth returning. Contacting the host through the Whatsapp is a nightmare. Our visit concluded nearly 10 calendar days ago and still zero response as of this writing to address our concerns. Since the Whatsapp and Skyes Cottages have not responded to our concerns, I'm happy to lay them out here. Soon after arriving at the Coytrahen House, we noticed a few issues; numerous unclean kitchen surface areas, dirty silverware, dirty utensils, dirty silverware and utensil drawer holders, dirty kitchen cabinets and kitchen cabinet drawers (inside and out), many uncleaned surfaces in all of the bathrooms, kitchen appliances were dirty (including the inside of the refrigerator) and the oven was a nightmare to operate. A partially working toilet, no heat in the house except a back room radiator, and floor surfaces that were not throughly cleaned. But, the worst of the issues were the peacocks. They were unfenced and crapped everywhere including on outside window ledges, and on and around the entries to the house. We were constantly navigating "land mines" so as to not to track the mess into either our car or into the house.
