Set over 100 acres of park land, it offers a sanctuary for visitors and wildlife, with landscape ranging from woodlands to wetlands, and meadows to formal gardens. Bridgend is just south of Bettws, a busier town with a local train station, plenty of eateries and shops to discover, and historical sites such as Newcastle Castle, St. John's House Trust, as well as Newbridge fields with plenty of walks and ruins to explore. Swansea sits west of Bettws, another fantastic city with plenty of parks, Swansea Market, the largest in Wales, with delicious local delicacies to try, or head out of the city to explore the spectacular cliffs and wildlife of the Gower Peninsula. Bettws is a quiet spot to escape the hustle and bustle, whilst on the doorstep to busier Welsh towns and dramatic landscapes.
