Nestled in the heart of the peaceful Exe Valley in Devon, Maple, Birch and Oak Safari Tents offer a unique blend of comfort and nature. Sleeping up to six guests each, they are ideal for families with plenty of crafted outdoor games and a mud kitchen for children. Relax on the private veranda, cook paella on the BBQ or simply toast marshmallows. Explore the riverside meadow or visit the local town of Tiverton with beautiful historic landmarks. Discover Devon's beautiful coastline and the nearby Dartmoor and Exmoor National Parks offer fantastic hiking.
Inside, you will find a cosy, rustic interior with a fully equipped kitchen, seating area, private bathroom, and comfortable beds, creating a true ‘home away from home' experience. Comfortably sleeps up to six people, with one king-size bedroom, one twin bedroom, and one with a king-size enclosed cabin that accommodates both children and adults. There is a private bathroom with running hot water, a shower, toilet, and sink, complete with luxury skincare products from 100 Acres.
The kitchen is fully equipped with all the utensils you need, including tea and coffee facilities, a small fridge freezer, a gas hob, and a spacious dining area with a wood-burning stove to keep you warm and cosy as night-time falls. With large windows and plenty of natural light, this safari tent can be ‘opened up' to bring the outdoors in. Outside, cook up a feast on the firepit or toast delicious marshmallows while taking in the breathtaking sunsets.
This glampsite offers plenty of family games and outdoor activities. The children's play area features a swing, slide, tree stumps, and tyres to explore, plus a special bespoke mud kitchen. Adults can also join and enjoy the skittles and boules court, but don't get too competitive!
Craving something easy and tasty? The paella meal kits offer a delicious and convenient alternative to a BBQ. All ingredients are included, along with a pan and clear instructions, so you can cook al-fresco over the firepit outside your safari tent.
The exclusive riverside meadow is just a couple of minutes' walk and a great place to explore. It is around seven acres, so ideal for children to run around. With benches by the River Exe, it is an ideal place for a picnic, completed with a firepit where you can toast marshmallows and enjoy a sundowner here too.
During your stay, you'll be ideally situated to explore the beautiful countryside and coastline of Devon. Just a few minutes walking away, you can visit Bickleigh Mill, which offers a bistro and a retail shopping experience. Additionally, the Devon Railway Centre provides a fantastic train experience for children.
With its own Courtyard Bar, Games Room and Honesty Shop, this is the place you may never want to leave, and you will almost certainly want to book your next stay.

Additional information: Mains electricity available Highchair available free of charge. There is a designated parking area adjacent to the orchard. One basket of logs is provided. More can be purchased on-site 2 travel cots available free of charge, on a first come first served basis. 1 x big dog or 2 x small dogs are allowed for a fee of £25.00 each. There is a public EV charger point two minutes drive from the site. The nearest bus stop is a 2 minute walk from the site. Paella meal kits available; please give at least 24 hours' notice. This glamping site also hosts weddings. If this is a concern, please feel free to enquire before booking. A £150 security deposit is required when booking the full site. This is applied few days before your holiday and then released a few days after departure.
SPECIAL OFFER WEEKENDS Throughout the year when there is a wedding in Valleyside Barn (which is on the same site but over 100 metres below the glamping site) the safari tents are offered at 15% discount due to not all facilities being available (games room and courtyard bar). The weekends this offer is available in 2026 are:

CHILDREN'S ENTERTAINMENT
Den and cabin bed: snug underneath the cabin bed with cosy beans bags and cushions. There is a child-size table and chairs with child-friendly crockery and cutlery. Children play area: with swing, slide, tree stumps, tyres to climb and a bespoke mud kitchen hand-crafted by the owner. There is also a boules and skittles court that the whole family can enjoy. There's enough space to play football or put up a badminton net. Nature trail: complimentary nature trail which children can do either on-site or throughout their day trips. It involves finding things on land, in the river and in the air. Games locker: Variety of games and puzzles can be found in the honesty shop.
GAMES ROOM Featuring a pool table, darts board, table football and retro Nintendo. Open 10am until 7pm daily or on Friday evenings when the bar is open until it closes.
COURTYARD BAR The courtyard bar is open Friday evenings, excluding wedding weekends. Stocked with local Devon cider, lagers, ales, spirits and rose wine from Yearlstone Vineyard that can be seen just across the Exe Valley. Child and dog friendly with colouring and games to keep everyone entertained.
HONESTY SHOP There is a small honesty shop on-site stocking essential items, snacks and breakfast goods.
