Great potential, a beautiful building & location but it’s tired and not as fresh, clean or sharp as the photos convey. The 1st thing we had to do was re-wash the crockery and glasses etc as it was unclean and grubby. We found there was no tea, or coffee provided- there were a few pods, but they weren’t for the machine in the property! Most self-catered places I’ve ever stayed around the world provide this. So we had to buy tea, and coffee too, but the moka pot was too tiny to use on even the smallest stove gas ring. Other missings I’d expect to find there in a self-catering place is salt and pepper and (pasta) bowls- not provided (!!!???) - Other big missings - there was no curtain or shutter in the rear bedroom - so it was light at 6am! The fridge was 1980s and wasn’t cold when we arrived. None of the TVs had a signal /worked. Some or the bedside lights too. 1 of the shower curtains was too short for purpose and risked a flooded room. A wash machine came with no clothes pegs (so we had to buy some, balcony planters scruffy. Most annoying was a constant 10-second on/ off buzz of a generator-type sound heard in the kitchen/2 of bedrooms 24/7, Wonderful Italy apologised but no action/help (CBA!), just empty words. 1 pillow /person is poor really too. So too is 1 key for 5 x persons & told another not available. Poor handbook/bins guidance. Good-things:high ceilings & cool, great beds & lovely, clean bedding & tools. Generally disappointing and poor value overall though. 5/10
