About this property

Bright and Cheerful South Desert Home

South Palm Desert home in a beautiful neighborhood. Purchased in 2011 but built in the 50’s Large windows with mountain views. Home is small but bright and open. There is a closed in patio out front where you can sit and enjoy your morning coffee, and if it's too warm out front there are French doors in the living room that leads to a covered patio in back.

We do not have a pool but are centrally located to the Aquatic Center with 3 pools, and the beautiful Civic Center Park; The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens; walking distance to El Paseo, (known as Little Rodeo Drive) and the McCallum Theater which sits on the edge of the College of The Desert Campus.

Palm Deserts Best Kept Secret

Pictures don’t do it justice. Loved my month stay at Cecilia’s sweet desert oasis. The nice remodel makes the home comfortable, it was clean and convenient and the Mountain view out the front window is breathtaking!!! Waking up and sipping my morning coffee on the front patio was everything. Also loved the five minute walk to El Paseo shops and Starbucks. I loved the sweet neighborhood so much I’ve been looking for homes to purchase there. Hoping the right one pops up because this is the place to be! Thank you Cecilia for the amazing stay. Can’t wait to come visit again soon!

Location Location Location

This was our second time in this home and it did not disappoint. The house really is "Bright and Cheerful" and outfitted with everything one could need, from comfy beds to folding chairs to take to Sunday concerts in the nearby Civic Park. A 5 minute walk to El Paseo, 5+ minute drive to the wonderful Randall Henderson Trail, easy access to major roads in the region. The neighbourhood feels safe and is very quiet at night. Cecelia is terrific to deal with and is always available quickly by text or email to answer questions. She loves this house, her desert second home and it shows in the decor and care. Highly recommend.

Even better than expected.

The owner was very accommodating when we initially had to postpone our trip due to Covid travel restrictions and she was always quick to respond to questions. The property exceeded our expectations, the photos do not fully capture the lovely home Cecelia and her husband created. Unlike listings that are only used as rentals, this is her vacation home as well so things don’t feel “cheap”. The kitchen is fully stocked, the linens and towels are a good quality, the mattress was brand new and comfortable. It feels like a home without the clutter! If you prefer not to be “behind a gate” the location is ideal. A ten minute walk to both El Paseo and the beautiful Civic Park, and easy access to the major roads of the valley. The house sits on a main road through the neighbourhood but is not busy and at night we slept with the windows open as it was always quiet. Can recommend without hesitation.

Anthony and I play golf and loved coming to the desert. We always dreamed of owning a home in the desert. We owned a company called "Salinas Cash Register Company " and sold Point of Sale Systems to restaurants in the Monterey Penninsula Area.

Why they chose this property

While staying at the SandPipper I pulled out my IPad and googled Zillow to see if there was anything for sale in the surrounding area, we saw there was a home for $75k a few miles away. I was so excited!!! Well I have to say it was the worst home in a beautiful manicured neighborhood.
We loved the location and the mountain Views and bought it right then and there!

What makes this property unique

Although the house was the worst home on the block we fell in love with the mountain Views and it was sitting on a large corner lot with one large beautiful Palm Tree and we knew it needed us to bring it back to something wonderful.
The benefits were many:

Walking Distance to the Cinema at Westfield Mall
Walking Distance to the World Gym, and if your a Silver Sneaker Member it's free.
Walking Distance to Walgreens down the street
Eisenhower Hospital on Bob Hope in Rancho Mirage is 8 minutes away and open 24 hours.
Palm Springs Airport is 20 minutes away.
