The host was prompt with replies but the condo could use a thorough cleaning to include cabinet drawers and exhaust fan/light in primary bathroom, and carpet. New bedroom linens would be nice too.

You are our first problem comment in 13 years of owning a rental. We asked upon your arrival & subsequently how you were finding things. You said it was great. Had you told us that our new cleaners - who got the house ready after it had been closed for the season- did not meet your expectations, we absolutely would have addressed it immediately. Just as we immediately bought sponges & had them delivered to your door when you complained you couldn't find a sponge. Blindsiding us with this review was not very nice. Especially as we would never want to you to have a bad experience. You didn’t even give us a chance.

Little Slice of Paradise

A beautiful retreat with nature all around. This lovely home opened up to tons of greenery, flowers, and a pool just a few steps away. All with a gorgeous mountain backdrop. The house was spotless, as were the two charming patios. In all the VRBOs we've stayed in - this one was the most equipped. Anything and everything we could need. Our hosts were so kind and friendly. Always available for any question. Thank you, Sandra and Ron, for such a peaceful and beautiful stay. The Silver Sands community is so friendly. Highly recommend this little oasis to everyone.

Great house in a gated community w/beautiful landscapes and excellent hosts!

My wife and I came from LA for a month+ stay in Palm Desert. The hosts were extremely responsive from the initial email where we asked to verify that their home was available, to multiple other emails during our stay and upon check-out. Overall, a very easy stay in a very quiet, serene house with beautiful mountain views, all in a well-managed gated community with very friendly people (whom we never saw, heard, or felt except when it was welcomed). Highlights/summary: - house is very well equipped (beyond typical for a rented home b/c the owners actually use it themselves)...kitchen fully stocked for real cooking; lots of furniture (indoor & outdoor); wi-fi was very strong (both of us were able to work full-time while staying there with no Internet issues at all); tons of fresh linens; space for work areas for 2 people (separate desks); great privacy with very nice views & sun (with smart window treatments for adjusting shade & a nice remote-controlled retractable solar shade for the back patio); plenty of space in garage for 2 cars (ours are sedans); and very clean salt-water pools and spas (many on the property to choose from). Overall, a wonderful getaway from the city during the winter time, with very clean air, sunshine and gentle warmth and beautiful scenery and landscapes. Highly recommend.

GREAT LOCATION

We came for some R and R from a busy farming year. We join the chorus with the other reviewer that this home is well stocked with everything you need especially if you like to cook, with even a bbq. Very nice warm, cozy, comfortable and relaxing home with a tommy bahama type decor which we love. The community complex is quiet and the area is centralized to many attractions. The owner, Ron, is very approachable and accommodating. Would we stay here again? Yes!
