fantastic house and very nice hosts

The house and the garden are beautiful. It's a very quiet environment and it's a perfect location to reach every point on the island within 1 hour. There are some restaurants in the village and the. next bigger supermarket is a 10 minutes drive. The kitchen has a very good equipment. The hosts are very nice people and you will find very friendly cats :-) Absolute recommendation!

A little piece of heaven

Wonderful little oasis tucked away from the crowds. I cannot pick any one thing to review because everything was just perfect. One thing that must be mentioned is the quality of contact and how helpful the host was. Alejandro almost instantly replied to WhatsApp messages and was the most accommodating and helpful host I have ever encountered. Quite honestly have not had such a relaxing break since our honeymoon 20 odd years ago. Thank you Alejandro. We will be back. Soon!

Honest review.

First up, we booked this Villa after being messed about with another Vrbo booking whose costs increased as the ‘Teen’ occupant used in the booking process had been omitted by Vrbo after correcting this the price increased by the owner €400! By now time was getting short so we chose this one out of what was now quite a short list. Bearing this in mind and shortly before travelling the owner told us yet again there was a mix up in the booking process that meant we now had to arrive a day later than originally booked which meant finding a room for a night, which is more hassle when you just want to start your holiday. On the day of checking in this process was a bit protracted and a bit later than planned we met with the key holder and taken to the property which for some reason had been set up for a baby? As the key holder didn’t speak any English and our understanding of Spanish is rudimentary,it was.a bit awkward. The first night my partner and l suffered many Mosquito bites which despite buying products to limit this didn’t work and we continued to suffer nights of disrupted sleep throughout. The accommodation itself was good, pool was ok. The outside oven didn’t really appeal to us as it appeared to be not used for a long while, we didn’t know if it had fuel or how you controlled it anyway. As this was the only oven, apart from the Microwave, it limited our eating options so we spent our time eating out every day apart from one.Word limit precludes any further comments!

Away from the hordes but close to road communications

Villa Margarita is in the sub-hills above Antigua and below the hills approaching Betancuria. Apart from a few houses around the valley above Valle de Santa Ines it is completely away from fit all - on what we would call lanes in UK, which lead to a cul de sac. No through traffic, road or pedestrian, tarmac to within a hundred metres and no problems with access. And yet it is still only 3 or 4 minutes drive from bars and a basic shop in the village and then very close to the road network giving quick access to explore the whole island. Antigua supermarket is about 10 minutes. As a hostess Alejandra is extremely attentive and helpful. Responds immediately by email to every enquiry prior to booking, is always available on the phone and there each day to feed the animals just above (hens, ducks, cats, couple of goats and sheep, donkey) some of which do wander about, but don't bother you near the house if you don't want them too. The animal area is accessed without going near or within sight of the house, so no disturbance. The furniture inside and outside is all new and excellent quality (including beds). As is the sitting area next to the pool - there are 2 other sitting areas with good quality furniture beside the house. Power is by solar and wind - supplemented in the case of hot water in winter by a boiler - there was loads of very hot water. Cooker is by gas bottle and in case of a winter evening chill Alejandra has installed a pellet stove to warm the lounge if required - 2 weeks before our visit due to the cooler weather in the Canaries this winter. This is very quick and easy and can be put if required. We explored the whole island easily and if you really want to stay in the country away from those mass resorts and don't mind a few animals out the back - this is the place for you on Fuerteventura!

Ruhig und wunderschön

Die Villa ist wunderschön und gut eingerichtet und ideal fĂŒr alle, die Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit suchen. Gleichzeitig ist man aber relativ zentral auf der Insel und ist binnen einer guten Stunde sowohl in Corralejo als auch in Morro Jable. Das Haus ist gut eingerichtet und gerĂ€umig, es gibt aussen 3 SitzplĂ€tze. Der Pool wird alle paar Tage gereinigt. Lediglich die KĂŒche ist etwas dunkel und könnte noch eine Lampe vertragen. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und kĂŒmmer Sich sofort um Probleme. Wir haben die Zeit sehr genoss

Mit Katzen und Vögeln

Wegen der Vögel Fuerteventuras waren wir gekommen, und wir fanden sie schon in der wunderbaren BegrĂŒnung der Villa Margarita und an und ĂŒber den steinigen HĂ€ngen ringsum. Die 4 Katzen störten weder sie noch uns, da sie (fast) nie ins Haus kamen. Der ĂŒberaus freundliche Gastgeber Alejandro stellte uns sogar Vogelliteratur zur VerfĂŒgung und war wie seine Mutter Alejandra ĂŒberhaupt sehr hilfsbereit. Wir fĂŒhlten uns ausgesprochen wohl in diesem ruhigen Haus auf dem Lande, das mit allem Notwendigen ausgestattet ist, auch mit einem Pelletofen, den wir an den kĂŒhlen Februarabenden anwarfen. Einzig die Beleuchtung, besonders in der KĂŒche, hat noch Luft nach oben. Die Lage in der Mitte der Insel ist ideal fĂŒr AusflĂŒge in alle Richtungen, auch zum empfehlenswerten kleinen Restaurant Unamano in Valle de Santa InĂ©s. Danke den beiden Gastgebern. Wunderbar erholsame Ferien!

Wir haben Anfang Juli 10 wunderbare Tage hier in der Finca Margarita verbracht. Die Lage ist wirklich außergewöhnlich mit Blick auf einige wenige HĂ€user unterhalb der Finca und dem direkten Blick auf die bergige Landschaft von der Terrasse aus. Besonders erwĂ€hnenswert sind die Vermieter Alejandro und seine liebenswerte Mama, die uns hier herzlich aufgenommen und mit frischem GemĂŒse versorgt haben. Sogar eine Flasche Wein stand zur BegrĂŒĂŸung bereit. Hinter dem Haus betreiben sie eine kleine Tierhaltung, mein Herz erfreut haben allerdings die Katzen mit ihren Besuchen und die 2 Esel hinter dem Haus, die uns unsere eigenen Esel nicht so sehr vermissen ließen. Also, von uns gibt es 5 Sterne und einen extra Stern fĂŒr die Gastfreundschaft und den unkomplizierten Kontakt schon wĂ€hrend der Anreise. Die Finca ist sehr sauber und gemĂŒtlich und beinhaltet alles, was man zur Versorgung hier benötigt. Der Pool lĂ€dt zum Relaxen ein, wenngleich wir ihn kaum genutzt haben, da das Meer und die StrĂ€nde hier zu verlockend sind. Die Lage des Hauses ist perfekt fĂŒr AusflĂŒge in alle Richtungen der Insel. Also, von uns gibt es eine klare Empfehlung fĂŒr dieses Haus, ganz herzliche GrĂŒĂŸe an unsere lieben Vermieter! Ruhe und Entspannung in der Natur

FĂŒr jemanden, der in seinem Urlaub die absolute Entspannung abseits vom ĂŒblichen Touristentrubel sucht, ist dieses Haus wirklich eine gute Wahl. Außer Wind- und TiergerĂ€uschen hört man am Tag und in der Nacht nichts. Aufgrund der zentralen Lage ist man aber mit einem Mietwagen in maximal 1 Stunde auf jedem gewĂŒnschten Fleck der Insel. Wir können dieses Haus sehr empfehlen. Vielen Dank auch an die Vermieter fĂŒr den netten Empfang und die jederzeit spontane und unkomplizierte Hilfe.

Ein Juwel

Wenn sie Einsamkeit lieben und trotzdem einen wunderbaren und behaglichen Urlaub verbringen wollen ist dies ihr Haus! Es liegt WIRKLICH abgelegen, umrahmt von braunem Gestein und HĂŒgeln - keine weiteren HĂ€user in Sicht. Aber sie finden eine richtige Oase in dieser (fĂŒr FUE nun mal typischen) SteinwĂŒste. BĂ€ume, farbige Blumen, auch GewĂŒrze und Salat. Der Pool (nicht allzu gross) lĂ€dt zum Bade und die LiegestĂŒhle zum Sonnenbaden. JA, zum Einkaufen fahren sie einige km und gemĂŒtlich Restaurants fĂŒr Abendessen gibt es nur sehr wenige in der NĂ€he - so ist halt Einsamkeit. Der Vermieter (und seine Kollegin - sehr gute Deutschkenntnisse) sind Ă€usserst nett und hilfreich. Hat uns Eier, FrĂŒchte, GemĂŒse und sogar selbst gefangenen Fisch gebracht. Wir bedanken uns ganz herzlich bei beiden!

ESPECTACULAR

Estancia de una semana en familia, la casa es maravillosa, decorada con mucho gusto, con todo lo necesario para estar muy cĂłmodamente, luminosa, no le falta ningĂșn detalle, camas muy cĂłmodas, todo muy limpio en definitiva no se necesita nada mĂĄs. La zona exterior es increĂ­ble porche delantero para sentarse y disfrutar del maravilloso jardĂ­n, cuidado al detalle, asĂ­ como de las vistas. Piscina ideal con un cenador al lado para tomar algo mientras te bañas. Y una terraza trasera junto a la barbacoa para comer o cenar al aire libre. La ubicaciĂłn de la casa es increĂ­ble, en el centro de la isla, en un paraje natural de extraordinaria belleza, con una tranquilidad difĂ­cil de encontrar hoy dĂ­a, descanso y relax garantizado. Hay asimismo una granja cercana a la casa con varios animales, a los cuales nuestro hijo ha dado de comer todos los dĂ­as disfrutando muchĂ­simo del contacto tan directo con la naturaleza, cogĂ­a huevos a diario de las gallinas. Y lo mejor de la casa Alejandro y su madre Alejandra, derrochan amabilidad por los cuatro costados, siempre predispuestos a cualquier cosa que necesitaramos, Alejandro nos trajo pescado fresco, queso reciĂ©n elaborado de una granja cercana, nos facilito productos locales, mil gracias por todo, no nos habĂ­amos sentido tan cĂłmodos y como en casa en ni gun sitio, se echarĂĄn de menos esas charlas en el porche. En definitiva es una casa ideal para desconectar, relajarte, disfrutar de la tranquilidad, estar en contacto con la naturaleza y con los animales, y asimismo sentirte tratado como si estuvieras en tu propia casa. Oasis au cƓur du dĂ©sert

Un accueil chaleureux dans une villa isolĂ©e dans la montagne, loin du tourisme de masse. La villa Marguarita est une vĂ©ritable oasis amĂ©nagĂ©e avec goĂ»t, par le propriĂ©taire. IdĂ©alement situĂ©e au centre de l'Ăźle, elle facilite l'accĂšs aux diffĂ©rents points d'intĂ©rĂȘts de Fuerteventura. Un grand merci Ă  Alejandro, qui est un hĂŽte extrĂȘmement soucieux de notre bien ĂȘtre et qui a Ă©tĂ© disponible tout au long de notre sĂ©jour pour le rendre le plus agrĂ©able possible. Abseits des Alltags mit Fernblick

Objektbeschreibung ist gut. KĂŒche hat keinen Backofen, ansonsten Basisausstattung ok. Leider hĂ€lt der nĂ€chste Nachbar ca. 30 Hunde, die den halben Tag jaulen und klĂ€ffen, weil sie schlecht behandelt werden. Ansonsten hört man nur den Wind, die freilaufendende HĂ€hne der kleinen (eigenen) Tierhaltung und ab und zu das kleine Windrad. Super Fernblick, jenseits von allem, sehr gut zum Abschalten.

Amazing family time

We spent 3 weeks at the house with our two sons (2,5 years and 3 months). It was the most amazing time. Our hosts really went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and help us with our every wish. The location of the house is idea for anyone seeking quiet, serenity and mountain views. Also all animal lovers will appreciate the small farm behind the house (our son loved helping to feed the animals daily). The house is very clean, offering everything one needs. Particularly the outside kitchen is amazing. All the most beautiful beaches, south and north, are reachable within max. 1h drive. It's such a great place - we are already planning our next trip to the house.

Perfect!

Our family of two parents and two teenagers spent two fantastic weeks at Villa Margarita. The house is located in a beautiful hilly setting from which it is easy to drive to any part of the island. The house itself is wonderful. The two double bedrooms are well separated so that no noise will bother the occupants of the other room, although the cries of a younger child would be easily audible. The pool allowed us to spend some days relaxing at the house. House is very clean and the interior is easy to maintain. The kitchen has good kitchen knives, cutlery, gas cooker etc. There is no oven but there is a great barbecue outdoors provided with firewood. As important as any quality at Villa Margarita, the landlords (Alejandro and his mother Alejandra) are the most hospitable and friendly I have known in my experience of renting villas in the Canaries. They only visit the villa individually to tend to the animals briefly and to check that all is well e.g. if you need new sheets, towels etc. or if you want advice. They won’t bother you if you prefer them not to. Alejandra grows vegetables and generously brought us fresh courgettes and lettuce. We have rented villas on every island in the Canaries and we have never felt more welcome than at Villa Margarita! The nearest beach (El Molinito) is a 20 minute drive. Beaches on the east coast can be reached in 30-40 minutes (depending on the beach) on smooth roads with very little traffic; driving on them is a pleasure. The beaches in the very south of the island might take an hour to get to (we didn’t go that far on our recent visit as there are many quiet and beautiful beaches within easy reach). For context, our idea of a good beach is one that is uncrowded, where swimming and snorkelling are good, and where there is perhaps one beach restaurant that includes fresh fish on the menu. As northern Europeans during the pandemic we found the house’s relative isolation and the island in general a very welcome break from the routine of home. Islanders and visitors are, of course, very sensible about wearing masks, using sanitiser and practising social distancing, but eating in outdoor restaurants was very welcome and it felt safe. Whether you visit the island for walking or for beaches, Villa Margarita is very highly recommended!

Un trocito de paraiso

BuscĂĄbamos tranquilidad, autenticidad y contacto con los verdaderos majoreros y lo encontramos todo!! La casa estĂĄ escondida en un rincĂłn del pueblo, aislada pero muy cerca de todos los pequeños comercios. Es muy acogedora, con sus terracitas para tomar el sol, su piscina. Siempre disponible, conoce su isla perfectamente y nos diĂł consejos para disfrutar mĂĄs todavĂ­a. Gracias a ella nos llevamos un queso de su sobrina, es riquĂ­simo!! Authentisch und entspannt!

Das Haus, der Pool und der Garten sind sehr geschmackvoll und sehr sauber angelegt und eingerichtet. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig und ermöglicht einen entspannten, stressfreien aber auch authentischen Aufenthalt. Wir waren begeistert vom typisch kanarisches Ambiente. Die Tiere hinterm Haus fanden unsere Kids spaßig und spannend. Die Lage in der Inselmitte ist geschickt, so sind alle Ausflugsziele in ĂŒberschaubarer Zeit zu erreichen. Die Vermieter sind Ă€ußerst freundlich und diskret, und die Zufriedenheit der GĂ€ste ist ihnen ein sehr großes Anliegen. Bei (An-)Fragen antworten und kĂŒmmern sie sich umgehend! Wir kommen bestimmt wieder!!!! Vielen Dank

Schön gelegene FeWo und sehr nette Betreuung.

Das Ferienhaus liegt sehr schön am Ende eines Tals. In der NĂ€he gibt es nur eine kleine Tierhaltung und etwas entfernt noch ein paar WohnhĂ€user. Im Haus ist alles vorhanden, es gibt zwei Schlafzimmer, WiFi, ein großes Bad, viele Sitzecken ums Haus, etc. Die Tiere, Katzen, HĂŒhner, Esel, Ziegen laufen frei herum. Mir persönlich haben die HĂ€hne etwas zu schaffen gemacht, weil sie schon in der Nacht mit ihrem GekrĂ€he begannen. Ach ja, und der Pool war super. Auto notwendig und guter Ausgangspunkt im Zentrum der Insel. Insgesamt sehr zu empfehlen. Und zum Schluss noch mal herzlichen Dank an Alexanda fĂŒr ihre herzliche Betreuung.

Well positioned to tour the island and for hill walking

We really enjoyed our stay. If you don't like animals go elsewhere. If you do like animals you will love it. We were greeted everyday by 6 cats and half a dozen roaming chickens with their cockerals. There are donkeys, sheep and goats, and in the distance lots of dogs. Nicely remote but not far from a main road or super market in Antigua. The owner is very friendly.
