We hebben een heerlijk verblijf gehad in het vakantiehuis. Het huis was voorzien van alle gemakken, inclusief een fijn zwembad waar we veel gebruik van hebben gemaakt. De locatie was perfect als uitvalsbasis voor diverse uitstapjes - we konden gemakkelijk naar het strand van Montpellier, de markt in Mirepoix, en verschillende historische dorpjes in de omgeving. Het zwembad was een grote plus, vooral tijdens de warme dagen. De eigenaresse was flexibel met de check-in tijd, wat erg fijn was na onze lange reis. De omgeving is prachtig met zonnebloemvelden en we hebben zelfs een hert gespot tijdens een ochtendwandeling. De tuin bood een fijne plek om 's avonds te relaxen met een wijntje. Het huis ligt in een rustige omgeving, maar toch dichtbij leuke bezienswaardigheden zoals kastelen, markten en het strand. Perfect voor een gezinsvakantie met een goede mix van ontspanning en activiteiten.

A wonderful stay

An absolutely wonderful house in a lovely quiet village. The house is even more lovely than the photos show & wonderfully stocked with everything you need. Sarah is a wonderful & friendly host & it was a pleasure to meet her. We had the most relaxing 2 weeks and can’t wait to return! The area is stunning too and close to everything. We will definitely be back to stay again!

Spacious and well equipped holiday home. Sara was very welcoming and told us all we needed to know so we had a lovely relaxing holiday. Air conditioning was much appreciated with temperatures at 40 degrees! Area was quiet and peaceful. Sunbeds and pool were just what we needed.

Super Gastgeber, tolles Haus, Küche ein Traum. Lage perfekt, wenn man Ruhe sucht. Es hat alles gestimmt. Wir haben unsere Woche im Haus sehr genossen. Man kann kürzere oder längere Ausflüge machen oder einfach nur chillen am Pool. Der Pool wirkt größer als in der Beschreibung angegeben, der Garten ist sehr schön angelegt. Der Bäcker in wenigen Schritten erreichbar - was will man mehr. Wir können das Haus nur empfehlen. Es ist liebevoll eingerichtet mit Möbeln, die einfach gut ins Ambiente passen. Da hat sich jemand viel Mühe gegeben :). Vielen Dank für die Gastfreundschaft und herzliche Grüße

Great house for exploring the surrounding area

This house is large and airy with great a/c which is very much needed with the heat. The kitchen is the center of the house which was well equipped with almost everything we needed. If you are traveling with very young children you will need to bring your own cutlery, plastic bowl, etc. However a highchair is supplied and travel cot. The bedrooms are a good size and airy. The beds were comfortable. The curtains are quite thin in the double bedrooms so if you have children sensitive to light it might be worth bringing a stick on black out blind ( gro blind) as the rooms get the evening sun. The bathroom was great, excellent shower and my kids enjoyed the big iron bath! The pool was also very enjoyable and was lovely to cool off in. We enjoyed sitting outside in the evening but mossie spray is a must. This house is perfectly located to explore the local area, Carcassonne, black mountains and further surrounding area/ lower pryenees. It was in a very peaceful location but very close to the centre of the village where there is a bakery and small shop. Sara was very welcoming and friendly and was responsive to texts once I got her number via VRBO. I would ask for this once you've booked as it's easier to contact her this way then trying to go through VRBO. Overall we had a great week and would return!

Richtig gemütliches Zuhause! Etwas abseits, aber angenehm ruhig.

Kurz: Hier stimmt alles. Eine sehr angenehme Vermieter-Familie, ein sehr individuell und originell eingerichtetes, gut geschnittenes Haus, in dem man sich sofort "wie zu Hause" fühlt. Der Garten und ein kleiner Pool passen perfekt dazu. Danke, Sara, für die gute Betreuung!

On arrival we were met by a very friendly Sara, our host. The property was welcoming and although it looks old and rustic Sara explained that it had only been built five years ago. Maison parfaite, propre, meublée avec gout, lumineuse, au calme et située pas si loin de sites à visiter. Juste une petite remarque :le plateau de la table ronde de la terrasse n'est pas très stable pour les verres et assiettes. Maison à recommander en tout point.

La maison est très chaleureuse, confortable, très bien équipée et aménagée avec beaucoup de goût et d'authenticité. Saint- Papoul est un village accueillant avec des commerçants dynamiques (épicerie, boulangerie, pharmacie, bar restaurant), point de départ de très belles visites où balades. Sarah, notre hôte, est une personne généreuse et super sympathique. Notre semaine a passé vraiment trop vite!

A perfect getaway in France.

We had a fabulous stay in this property. It is secluded and quiet. It has walnut, fig and olive trees in the garden. Sara was excellent meeting us at the property and settling us in. The property is purpose built so no old quirks. The kitchen is huge and lovely to cook in. The living room is small and cosy and the bedrooms are nicely furnished. We stayed as a couple; this property really lends itself to a romantic break. It is also very central only 30 mins from Carcassonne so perfect for a group base. We would not hesitate to recommend.

Les propriétaires sont très accueillants et disponibles. D'une grande gentillesse, ils proposent de visiter leur ferme et vous fournissent tout un tas d'informations pour visiter la région, quoi que, la maison soit si agréable (piscine, jardin, grande cuisine....) qu'on adore y passer de bons moments de détente en famille ou entre amis !

Bien trop court !

Même si nous avons eu 2 semaines complètes pour profiter de ce lieu plein de charme, entre les possibilités de la région et l'envie de 'garder' la maison pour ce qu'elle offre : espace, fraîcheur, détente avec un équipement où rien ne manque, c'est trop court pour ne pas avoir le sentiment de partir sans avoir eu assez de temps. Aucun bibelot, fonctionnel, utile, ou pas, n'est en trop dans ce havre de paix créé avec un certain sens de l'esthétique, du soin apporté au détail, et dans un esprit de récupération d'objets ou matériaux anciens très heureux. magnifique maison

Maison dotée de plusieurs terrasses très bien aménagées,qui permettent quelque soit le temps de profiter des extérieurs. Magnifiquement meublée et très lumineuse, cette maison est un vrai petit paradis. Les propriétaires sont très accueillants et toujours prêts à vous renseigner. La propriété est à la fois au calme et proche de tout. Vraiment à conseiller.
