Rowan Log Cabin, stylish and welcoming, set in the Dalavich Forest Park overlooking the magnificent Loch Awe, on the West Coast of Scotland. Positioned on a large, secluded plot the cabin features an inviting new hot tub and raised decking areas to take in the stunning surroundings.
The authentic log cabin is full of rustic charm and Scottish flair, offering space and modern living in a home away from home for up to six guests. The perfect hideaway to unwind for couples, families or a romantic escape.
With outstanding views and natural woodlands Rowan Log Cabin is a true escape from the hustle and bustle, fantastic for walks, wildlife enthusiasts, or for those looking to experience peace and tranquility.
The open plan living space is the heart of the lodge with vaulted ceilings and floor to ceiling windows to maximise the views. There are comfortable sofas, a cosy wood burner, split cycle aircon and plenty of homely touches. French doors open up onto the front elevated deck which overlooks the loch.
Dine and relax together at the spacious dining table seating six in the living space.
The cabin is timber lined throughout, double glazed, and with electric heating to keep the cabin warm and comfortable.
For entertainment there is free Wi-Fi, Freesat Satellite Smart TV 43", DVD, Hi-Fi (via TV and DVD).
The kitchen is well equipped, with an electric oven/hobs, fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, Nespresso coffee machine, kettle and all necessary utensils, crockery, cutlery to cook up a feast.
Featuring two well appointed double bedrooms, and one twin bedroom in the loft, access is via a ladder.
Bedroom one: Double bed, built in wardrobe/clothes storage, bedside cabinet.
Bedroom two: Double bed, wardrobe/clothes storage, bedside cabinet.
Bedroom three: Loft twin bedroom, is accessed via a ladder, clothes hanger, chest of draws, bedside cabinet
The spacious family bathroom has a walk-in shower cubicle, hand basin, toilet and heated towel rails.
Towels are not supplied. Bed linen is included.
Located at the rear of the cabin is a large decked area with a private sheltered hot tub (included in price), the perfect place to relax in this stunning setting with views out over the woodland fields. Includes picnic table for al fresco dining and a fire pit area with log seating. The decking area is enclosed, suitable to allow children and dogs to wander freely.
Enjoy the picturesque woodland setting from the front decking with views out over beautiful Loch Awe. Complete with outdoor furniture enjoy lazy evenings stargazing with a good ale or a chilled glass of wine.
There is private car parking for two cars next to the cabin.
Within approximately five minutes is the village of Dalavich while remote and quiet, has a shop/cafe, bar, restaurant and laundry. Enjoy a morning coffee, light lunch and stock up with groceries. Take-away meals are also available from the cafe. Mountain bikes are available for hire, by the day or week.
There are many beautiful forest walks in the area, including The Oakwood Trail, The Avich Falls Trail and Duncan’s Walk, all of which meander through ancient oak and pine forests. Pine marten, fox, wild cats red deer, roe deer, otter and red squirrels can often be seen. There are also regular sightings of eagles and ospreys. Apart from the signed trails, there is up to 100 miles of forest tracks and roads within the area, suitable for the serious walker or mountain biker.
A wonderful base to explore the boundless historical and scenic attractions that are on offer in this magnificent region. Explore further afield to Inveraray and historic Kilmartin Glen, it's also an easy day trip to Oban, one of the seafood capitals of Scotland.
