Really nice house, plenty of rooms, very peaceful, fantastic location. We stayed as a family get together 14 in total excellent space, needs a bit of tlc here and there and maybe turn the conservatory into a sitting room to allow everyone to relax together.
This was a perfect home base for our large family gathering (10 ppl ranging in age from 3-70). Close to Oban but far enough removed that it’s away from city traffic and is quiet and relaxing. Large, clean space, very comfortable for our large group. Would stay again!
House has mostly all you need for a big group of people. The host was very helpful throughout and the check in process was simple. Setting is lovely also.
Lovely property and fantastic size wise. Would agree with other reviews that it’s is a bit tired in places but suited our needs perfectly. Hot tub was brilliant!
Myself and 11 friends had a great stay at Taynuilt. The house was perfect for the big group, the outdoor space, hot tub and number of bedrooms and bathrooms in particular. The kitchen was great for cooking and well equipped. The host was very helpful and communicative. Would definitely recommend and stay again!
Very roomy house with a lovely garden and view and ample parking. We had a lovely stay. Some parts of the house could do with a bit of maintenance and updating but this did not affect the stay. Would love to come back.
All guests and dogs were very impressed with the house and we had a brilliant time, even the sun came out for us. The hot tub was enjoyed by us all and I would definitely recommend any large family get together booking this property. The one thing we would suggest is some USB ports for charging phones etc

Great space lovely location
The house was very comfortable and big enough for 16 of us.
The only downside I would say is on the day of check-in we tried to reach the host as we were having trouble locating the house & lockbox.
The host didn't pick up and never returned my call.
Excellent base for watersports, hillwalking and cycling
The house provided an ideally located base for all our outdoor adventures in Loch Etive, Loch Awe, Glen Coe and the network of quieter roads which can be accessed from Taynuilt. There are some maintenance issues with the property which is why the overall rating is 3 stars. I have made the property owner aware of these issues. For those with younger children also be aware that there is no physical barrier between the property and the main A85. Nor is there a barrier between the garden and the adjacent building site for the Taynuilt Inn.
Lovely house let down by location next to rude neighbour
Sadly, I have to give this Villa a low score….not for the property it’s self; the house was ideal for our special family occasion and Gillian was a good host. The only thing that marred it and the reason we won’t be back was one rude neighbour. The house is close to two other houses. The garden is uneven and the flattest part is next to another neighbours garden which is divided by a fence. On our first day there, my 80 year old Mum and twin 12 year old nieces were playing badminton. One neighbour thought it was ok to be rude to them and tell them they were ruining his Sunday afternoon and to move away from his garden. This was at midday!!Later in the evening, the 14 of us were playing a quiz in the dining room, the only room that could accommodate the size of our full party comfortably. I received a text from the owner to say the noise alarm had been triggered and that she had received a complaint from the neighbour, at 9pm. Our party was a family party made up of children and adults ranging from 10-90 years old who were celebrating my Mums 80th. If your property caters for groups up to 16, you surely must expect some noise?? In our case, laughter. Sadly, this issue cast a cloud over our weekend If you are considering a similar stay for a large party, be wary of Mr Angry next door.
We had a large family group with ages from 7-79. This home was perfect. It was well equipped and immaculate. It was a very convenient location for the sights we wanted to see. Would definitely recommend it.
Everything was as described - this is a beautiful house in a lovely setting. The town is perfect and the people we met were all friendly and kind. Thank you for a terrific stay.
Nice big house for a family get together. Big kitchen and dining space and hottub is an added bonus. Lots of nice decor and room dressings. Little tired in places i.e. black mould on bathroom roof.
My wife and I stayed in this property with some friends for New Years celebrations. Great place with stunning views. Some elements of the house were tired or needed some tlc but nothing to complain about.
Stayed here for a few days with some friends and had a lovely time, ideal location with short drive/train into Oban. Hot tub was a definite highlight, the house was in amazing condition and very comfortable. Thanks for having us! :)
The property suited our needs, there were a couple of snagging issues on arrival which were very quickly dealt with after a phone call to the property owner who was very helpful
We enjoyed our stay very much and wouldn't hesitate to recommend the house
This is an excellent house in a beautiful area. We had 15 guests ranging from 4 to 79 - the accommodation was perfect for all of our needs…it was warm, clean and comfortable. The hot tub was a particular highlight. Gillian was approachable and helpful if needed. We would not hesitate to recommend this property and the area.
Chose property for location. Easy access to Oban by train. Property needs a bit of upgrading but would still book again. Great hot tub problem when first arrived but rectified very quickly.
