Lovely site quiet but very friendly.

Lovely site quiet but very friendly. Only a couple of miles from Cockermouth which is a proper old fashioned town full of independent traders. Amazing food variety. Have to mention Charlie site manager nothing was too much trouble for him very helpful guy. Will be returning. Ideal location for touring.

We had a lovely stay, the caravan was very clean and well equipped with a great amount of storage.

We had a lovely stay, the caravan was very clean and well equipped with a great amount of storage. The site is close to Cockermouth and so near to a good range of shops (without a car this could be a bit far). There are a number of lakes close by, we walked round Buttermere and Loweswater which are beautiful lakes. There was a lot of local information left in the caravan which was incredibly helpful. We also traveled a little further to Wigton to visit a wonderful Indian restaurant, "Bird in Hand" after a local man recommended it. It was worth the journey!
