Location
The apartment is in a great location, just a 12-minute walk from Polignano a Mare’s most famous beach, Lama Monachile. The town dates back to the 4th-Century BC and is packed with history. This stretch of coast is known for its pristine beaches and sparkling sea. It is an ideal combination of history, culture and beach life.
Down the coast, visitors will find the town of Monopoli (15 minutes), one of Italy’s hidden gems. Known for its lively bars and nightlife, the town’s cathedral and the Castello di Carlo are also worth visiting.
For self-catering, Polignano a Mare’s vibrant, weekly market (Thursday morning from 8.00am) is the best place to pick up delicious local produce to cook at home.
Away from the coast, Alberobello, (30 minutes) is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, as well as one of the centres of Italy’s Slow Food Movement. The town is a must-see. It is famous for its traditional Trulli houses and excellent restaurants.
The closest airport is at Bari, a 45-minute drive from the apartment.
