About this property
The Lobster Pot, Blakeney, Norfolk
A modern detached brick and flint coastal house enjoying a prime location, an expansive south facing garden and tempting sea views. Just a few minutes' walk away from the glorious North Norfolk coastal path and the heart of the picturesque quayside village of Blakeney, and with five en-suite bedrooms, The Lobster Pot is a fabulous option for friends and families looking to explore the delights of this beautiful Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Built to an individual design and specification, this fine coastal home boasts stylish interiors, modern comforts and efficiency, along with well-proportioned and highly versatile rooms. With an abundance of living space The Lobster Pot easily accommodates up to ten people. The ground floor features a superb 25' formal sitting room with oak floors, a warming wood burning stove to light on cooler days and french doors to open to the garden when the sun is bright and days are warm. An adjacent dining room, another super spacious room, extends to a light-filled, glazed garden room that doubles up as a games room with both a pool table and a darts board - perfect indoor entertainment for all on a wet day! To the front of the house, off the entrance hallway, is a smart, bright and cheerful well-equipped fitted kitchen, enjoying distant glimpses of the marsh and sea, and an adjoining utility room housing laundry facilities and a side a door to the garden. Across the hallway, a double bedded en-suite room is the perfect option for multi-generational families.
The sense of space and light continues to the first floor, where four further inviting en-suite bedrooms await - two king-size, one of which is available as twin beds, and two double rooms. The two bedrooms to the front of the house enjoy marsh and sea views across the rooftops. The rear, fully enclosed south facing garden is a great place for a stay at home kind of day, with plenty of room for everyone to spread out, and safe for dogs and children to play and run free. When big Norfolk skies and the great outdoors beckon, you can start local and explore further afield either on foot, bike, boat or make use of the convenience of the passing Coastliner bus service which runs regularly through the village.
Once a bustling medieval port, Blakeney is the picture perfect location with oodles of charm and character. Pretty flint fisherman's cottages line the streets dotted with cafes, restaurants, galleries and assorted shops to tempt your purse. When the tide's touching the shoreline at the quay, take a paddle, maybe a plunge, catch a crab or hop on the boat that goes out to Blakeney Point to see the seal colony swimming or basking on the shingle.
The Lobster Pot is also available for smaller groups of up to six people, listed as The Lobster Pot (6).
Additional Information:
Two well-behaved dogs welcome (small additional charge).
EV charger available on request (small additional charge).
The bedding is a mix of feather and hypoallergenic.
Travel cot and high chair available (please request at the point of booking).
Please request your preference for Bedroom two (king or twin beds) at the point of booking.
The garage at the top of the garden is not available for guest use.
