About this property

Piper's Lodge, Sheringham, Norfolk

Located just a five minute walk from the beach in the coastal town of Sheringham, Piper's Lodge is a spacious and elegant Edwardian town house superbly curated over three floors. With many local amenities, restaurants, and attractions nearby, including the North Norfolk Railway and Sheringham Golf Club, this hideaway is perfectly situated for enjoying the local area and beyond.

Piper's Lodge is a great hideaway for a family break, and is equally suited to couples and friends looking to share some time away. Being set over three floors, with a double bedroom and a twin bedroom on each of the upper two floors, two small families or groups of friends can still enjoy their independence. On the ground floor, there is a comfortable sitting room, separate dining room, and breakfast kitchen with small utility. An enclosed west-facing courtyard garden with table and chairs catches the afternoon sun - a lovely place for a drink, meal, and catch-up after a busy day out and about.

Sheringham is a bustling seaside town with its own theatre, a good selection of independent shops, and many restaurants and cafes. There's plenty to do and see throughout the year. Spend a lazy day on the beach or, if you like walking, explore the panoramic coastal path which leads to Cromer one way, and Weybourne the other - you can catch the Coasthopper bus for your return journey. Alternatively, take a detour and meander into the National Trust's stunning Sheringham Park. From the town's station, the steam train regularly runs along the pretty Poppy Line to Holt - a lovely Georgian town, with interesting independent shops, galleries and places to eat. Or catch the train to the beautiful, historic city of Norwich, where you can enjoy a day's shopping, explore the cathedral and castle, or even catch a boat to the ancient waterways of the Norfolk Broads.

A great property for our family getaway

The downstairs rooms were very spacious as were the bedrooms and bathrooms. The house had a very comfortable feel about it and after a day of exploring, it was a great place to relax. Would definitely book again.

Mum reminiscing.

I wanted a location close to the town for my Mum to reminisce about her childhood visits to Sheringham. This place was ideal, Mum was happy, mission achieved.

Holiday with friends

Overall house clean but the oven so filthy was unusable. On complaining we were told it was only cleaned at start of season. For £1200 per week we expected a bit more luxury we’ve rented properties for half the price that had more than one tv The property very tire d and customer service from Norfolk hideaways nowhere near as good as other agents in the area. We visit my home county of Norfolk every year and to say we were dissatisfied is an understatement

Excellent New Years family break

We really enjoyed staying at Pipers Lodge. It was warm, cosy and large enough to accommodate 7 adults. Having stay in many properties over the years it was so refreshing to have such a well equipped kitchen. Plenty of plates and mugs instead of the usual this house sleeps 8 so here are 8 mugs. My only moan would be that we really could have done with a hand towel and handwash in each of the bathrooms.
