Beautiful flat near Notting Hill
Interior-designed tranquil home in sought-after neighbourhood Kensal Rise, a 10 min walk to Portobello market & close to Notting Hill, Kensington & Paddington.Stylish open-plan living area with fireplace, dining area and contemporary kitchen.Two spacious doubles (one en-suite) & modern bathrooms. Grocery stores, restaurants and cosy pubs on your doorstep, Queen’s Park and canal walks a few mins away. Exceptionally well connected transport links to all of London via tube, bus and overground.
The space
Architecturally designed maisonette on the 1st & 2nd floors of a Victorian house in a quiet residential street in the vibrant Queen's Park/Kensal Rise area, close to Portobello Market, Notting Hill and Paddington. Beautiful wooden floors throughout, cool decor, high-end appliances and super comfortable.
Entry is via the house’s main front door on the ground level - just inside, our front door (Flat B ) & then 12 steps up to our hallway on the first floor. Seating bench, coat rack and a shoe closet.
Further on the first floor, our first spacious double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom ( large bath tub, toilet & basin), Queen size bed (Vispring mattress), large wardrobe, chest of drawers, bed side tables and a vanity table with large mirror.
An additional bathroom with shower, toilet & basin is adjacent.
Bright open-plan living room at the front of the house with large period windows, comfortable sofa, and cosy gas fire.
Contemporary eat-in kitchen with high-end appliances- Miele fridge freezer and washer/dryer, gas stove, steam & conventional oven and microwave. Cupboards are well equipped with Le Creuset cooking pots, utensils, crockery, cookery books, and a huge selection of dried herbs and spices. We also leave a few kitchen basics - Olive oil, salt and pepper as well as a great selection of teas and coffees (Nespresso machine).
On the second floor, guests can find a large and bright loft room, furnished with a king size bed with a Casper mattress, a chest of drawers, a working space with a desk and chair, a book shelf and hanging closet in the alcove. The bedroom also has a double sofa bed ideal for relaxation with a lovely view of the trees at the back of the property.
The property is light, comfortable and beautifully decorated, making it an ideal place to work or rest after a busy day of exploring London.
ON YOUR DOORSTEP
Located in a wonderful, flourishing neighbourhood offering excellent local amenities, the property is situated on a charming Victorian residential street connecting the green spaces of Queen’s Park with the vibrant and hip Kensal Rise.
The main focus of the area is one of London's most popular and beautiful green spaces comprising of 40 acres - Queens Park itself. Opened in 1887 and named in the honour of Queen Victoria, the park the park boasts a cafe, six tennis courts, a pitch and putt golf course, large children's playground, an ornamental quiet garden and even a children's animal farm. Open 7am until dusk, the park is the hub of the neighbourhood and is located at the end of the street.
Just on the other side of the park, trendy Salisbury road is home to pubs, restaurants, coffee-shops, cafes, independent boutiques, Sunday’s farmers market, and even a craft brewery.
On the other end of the street, Kensal Rise maintains an arty, bohemian feel while remaining upmarket and sophisticated. Chamberlayne Road, with its array of independent shops and restaurants, and Lexi, the London’s only social enterprise cinema, was even named “hippest street in Europe” by Vogue magazine. Jade Jagger, Sophie Dahl, Rita Ora, Zadies Smith are some of the many musicians, writers or artists calling the area their home.
The are multiple grocery shopping options within walking distance, including Planet Organic, Tesco Express, Marks and Spencer’s Sainsury’s, Co-Op, Gail's artisanal bakery, a wine specialty shop, and several local delicatessen. If you love food, Sunday’s farmer’s market is a must visit.
