About this property

Luxury Mountain Home with Ocean and Rain Forest Views. Newly tiled pool!

Guests are sure to enjoy a memorable vacation in this fully furnished, 3 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath, house.  There is also an outdoor shower next to pool. The master bedroom has a king-size bed, while the 2 remaining rooms are furnished with queen-size beds, comfortable for sleeping 6 people. 
Maximum occupancy is 6 persons which includes children. Children must be 3 years or older.

The spacious living room is furnished with a couch and love seat set.  Bring your favorite DVD's to watch on the new TV.

The kitchen is fully equipped and is perfect for dining as it has a four-seated bar and dining table for six. The book shelf has books and games to occupy your evenings. At pool side, there are two lounge chairs with a small table and a furniture set with a couch, 2 chairs, and a coffee table.

Check-in is BEFORE 4 pm, to ensure the Property Manager can meet you and guide you to my home during daylight hours. Drive time from the airport in San Jose is approximately 3.5- 4 hours. A 4X4 vehicle is needed to access the road to the property. The road to the top of the mountain has just been paved. This will make your drive to the property much easier. See photo.

On the way back to the airport, allow for the same amount of time. Please plan accordingly.  

The sun goes down around 5:30 pm and it can get cool. You will wake up to many types of birds including macaws, and toucans in the mornings. Enjoy the use of the fruit trees around the house; oranges, lemons, limes, bananas, mangos, pineapple, and avocado.

Many beautiful beaches and waterfalls are within a 10-15 minute drive, ziplining within 5 minutes, and a state park on the beach is 15 minutes away. The vast national park, Manuel Antonio, is an hour away and is highly recommended to see.

The Uvita Information Center is 25 mins away when on the main road. You can book tours through them such as--- Mangrove 3 hour tours which I highly recommend, ziplining, whale watching, horseback riding, plus much more. They can give you directions to the waterfalls and beaches in the area. Golf Course is within 15 min drive from the property.

There are many restaurants to pick from that are close to the property.

When you wake up after a night's rain, you will see beautiful rainbows and birds all around. A family of Toucans can be seen in the tree across from the property and guests can enjoy the new addition of a family of Macaw's now living in my Pecan Tree on property. See added photos!

What a great place!

Thank you for your feedback. I am glad you felt my house was correct. I would like to clarify the construction noise that was a concern for my guests. Due to Tropical Storm Nate that hit Costa Rica the roads were damaged in my area requiring major repairs during the dry season. This created the noise that my guests were experiencing. The repairs are required to provide safe roads for everyone in the community. The homeowners in my community did not receive communication regarding the road repairs until after my guests stay. Therefore, I was not able to inform my guests regarding the repairs prior or during my guests stay. Sincerely, Susan

Fantastic!

I have stayed in a lot of properties over the years in Costa Rica and this is among my favourites. The house is spacious, comfortable, well equipped and has comfy beds. There are great views of the mountains and we regularly saw black hawks, toucans and various species of tanagers. The pool is a good size and is great for a cool down. There is good communication with the owner of the property. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will definitely stay again.

Beautiful home, Amazing views

This house is beautiful very tastefully designed and built. The views of the mountains and the jungle are spectacular , The first night we were here having drinks by the pool, 2 Toucans flew into the tree across the street. We saw Macaws fly by and we could hear the howler monkeys in the distance. This area is all new homes and more being built ,you do want a 4 wheel drive to get up the road. The owner was a pleasure to work with.

Everything was perfect.

The property and house are exceptionally well maintained. Good beds, pillows, linens,BBQ, kitchen ware, tv, etc. Everything worked, nothing broken. Just stellar! If you are content to stay put most of the time and enjoy the lovely pool, the views, and walking the many gravel roads, you will enjoy your stay. If you want to go to the beach a lot, then you will find it too big and hard a trip. Once you leave the highway, the gravel road getting to the house is very steep and poorly maintained. There are probably 10 or so other lovely houses you can see from the patio, but all far enough away to be non-intrusive. We love this house and hope to come back.

It usually takes 7-10 minutes for me to travel up the road to my property from the main road. The inconvenience you experienced with the road to my property was unfortunate. This is a comfortable up-to-date home with a great valley vista. The house is well equipped and has a very inviting pool that we used frequently. Paradise in the Mountains

We stayed in this home in the Chontales from February 21 - March 4, 2019. The home is spacious, comfortable and well laid out. The yard is well maintained and the pool is fabulous. Tropical song birds are plentiful. We had great views of the ocean and especially the mountains. We really liked the privacy of the location but never felt alone or were concerned about security. Other homes are visible but never intrusive. After staying in this house for a few days it felt like home. We will definitely be back. Barry & Philomena
