Simple comforts and big Northumberland views. Welcome to this peaceful, dog-friendly Hexham holiday base.. All on the Ground Floor:

Bedroom 1: Double (4ft 6in) Bed
Bedroom 2: 2 x Single (2ft 6in) Beds
Shower Room: Cubicle Shower, Toilet. Electric central heating, gas, electricity, bed linen and towels included. Front garden with, sitting out area. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. Please note: There are 4 steps in the garden.. Set in the peaceful Lilswoods Holiday Park near Hexham, this no-frills, well-kept static caravan offers simple comfort and big views. Sleeping up to six, it has one double bedroom, one twin bedroom and a family bathroom, plus an open-plan kitchen, dining and lounge area with an electric fire for cosy evenings. The décor is a little dated, but everything is practical and tidy, and the furnished decking is the star, perfect for morning coffee while you look out over the surrounding countryside.
Two dogs are welcome, and the park is very quiet with a strict request for no noise after 10PM. Step outside and you’re minutes from classic Northumberland days out, explore historic Hexham with its magnificent Abbey, independent shops and riverside walks at Tyne Green, wander the honey-stone streets of Corbridge for galleries, cafés and Roman heritage, or head into the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty for moorland hikes, big skies and exceptional stargazing. Families will love the trails and wildlife in Slaley Forest, while nearby Derwent Reservoir is great for sailing, paddleboarding and picnics on the shore.
Hadrian’s Wall Country is within easy reach too, don’t miss Vindolanda’s excavations and the dramatic ramparts at Housesteads for a full dose of Roman Britain. For a change of pace, the medieval village of Blanchland and the renowned Slaley Hall golf courses make fine day trips, and those who want even wider horizons can strike out to Kielder Water and Forest Park for cycling, water sports and its famous dark-sky observatory.
Whether you’re here for walking boots, bikes or a slow weekend of books on the deck, this quiet base keeps everything relaxed and convenient while putting Northumberland’s best on your doorstep.
