About this property
Your Countryside Retreat in Monmouthshire
Tucked away in the heart of Monmouthshire, surrounded by lush greenery, an abundance of trees and nature, along with sweeping countryside views, Greengates is the perfect escape for families or friends looking to unwind, reconnect, and enjoy the beauty of rural Wales.
From the moment you arrive, you`ll feel a sense of calm. The house is nestled in a peaceful, private setting with plenty of outdoor space to explore and enjoy, whether it`s sipping your morning coffee on one of the balconies, dining al fresco on the patio, or simply soaking up the fresh country air from the garden.
Inside, the home is full of charm and comfort. The cosy living room, complete with a wood-burning fireplace, is made for winter evenings in, curl up on the sofa with a blanket, a good book, or a hot chocolate while the fire crackles. There`s also a sunroom filled with natural light, offering a peaceful space to relax with a book, do some journaling, or just enjoy the view across the trees and fields.
The fully equipped kitchen makes it easy to prepare home-cooked meals, while the spacious dining areas, both indoors and out, provide the perfect setting for long, leisurely dinners or catch-ups over coffee.
When you’re ready to explore, the surrounding area offers plenty to do. Just a short drive away, you’ll find the charming town of Monmouth, with its independent shops, historic streets, and cosy cafés. If you`re in the mood for dining out, Rustica in Monmouth serves up delicious, authentic Italian food, and The Whitebrook, a Michelin-starred restaurant tucked away in the Wye Valley, offers a more refined countryside dining experience.
For days out, enjoy scenic walks along the Monmouthshire & Brecon Canal, visit Tintern Old Station for riverside picnics and peaceful woodland trails, or explore the rolling hills and hidden paths of the surrounding countryside. Whether you`re after slow days in nature or active adventures, there’s something here for everyone- including furry friends, as this wonderful home welcomes pets!
With its blend of comfort, character, and countryside charm, Greengates offers the ideal setting to switch off, relax, and make lasting memories, whatever the season.
