Nestled in a tranquil location, Blackthorn Lodge provides the perfect luxury escape from day to day life and ideal setting for your breakaway with friends or family.
Imagine the ultimate relaxation, in a luxurious hot tub, overlooking the stunning lake setting…

The lodge consists of a large open plan living, kitchen and dining space, a luxury tiled bathroom with a walk in shower and 2 bedrooms.

The kitchen area is well equipped for a guest to cook a meal, with all the electrical appliances you should need including a dishwasher, oven and hob, kettle and toaster. coffee machine and air fryer. Following on from the kitchen dining table with seating for 4 guests. Offering the option to dine in, or dine out at one of the delicious local restaurants.

The living space provides a comfortable sofa and chair overlooking the Smart Tv .

Heading into the bathroom, you will find a walk in shower.

The first bedroom offers a king bed and the second bedroom offers 2 single beds that can be made into a super king . Each bedroom has clothes storage space and hotel quality bed linen and towels are provided for your stay.

The stunning outside area has alot to offer with a pool table , dart board , Arcade machine with over 200 games and a swing chair., an outdoor projector to make a cinema room in front of the cozy log burner and Pizza Oven.
With outdoor dining space for 4 and a luxury 4 seater hot tub.

The lodge park itself offers a peaceful and scenic setting to base your stay. The surrounding area offers a number of delicious restaurants, along side being just a 15 minute drive away from York's Designer Shopping outlet and just a 25 minute drive away from the historic City of York.

Fantastic stay

Me and my partner had a lovely stay at the Blackthorn lodge. The lodge itself was absolutely beautiful, and the outside facilities was amazing! Will definitely be staying there again for sure!

Amazing stay

We stayed in blackthorn lodge for 3 nights to finish off our daughters 18th birthday celebrations. It was all we had hoped it to be, the outside space was amazing and the hot tub setting was perfect The little touches did not go unoticed either. Hosts replied to any queries really quickly and resolved any minor problems we may of had promptly We will definitely be back

Can’t wait to return!

The lodge was decorated really nicely, you can tell a lot of thought had been put into the decor. There was a little box of shortbreads on arrival, bath & shower gel provided, tea / coffee & milk as well as salt & pepper which was a nice touch, as we travelled by train we didn’t want to carry a lot of stuff with us. The bed was really comfortable & we had a really good sleep. The outdoor area was great, the hot tub was really spacious and clean. There was a lot to do to keep us entertained, we had a pool table, dart board, projector & some games provided inside the lodge. Overall the stay was great I couldn’t fault anything, the only tiny critique I’d have that isn’t really a critique more of a suggestion, is to add a small heater to the outside area as even with the fire it got a bit chilly when watching the projector. We can’t wait to come back in the warmer months and stay again, I have had so many people asking where we stayed based off my instagram stories & would highly recommend to anyone!

One of the best lodges we’ve stayed!

What an amazing stay!!! I was browsing for a lodge with something a bit more fun and came across this company. (I actually saw it first indirectly but it was much better value direct). I actually saw Mulberry Lodge and was gutted our dates weren’t available. I then came across the Facebook page advertising a brand new lodge ready to book from the very next day - fate?! It was exactly like the photos and was a brilliant stay for my birthday with my husband and my parents came for the first night too. The welcome pack had everything you needed to know and the lodge was extremely clean and beautifully decorated. It had games which was a great touch for when it was time to come inside from playing pool and darts. We couldn’t not use the hot tub which was so pretty with the floral decor overlooking the water. The log burner was also great - we were informed to bring our own lighting equipment so we could be prepared and we also did get some more wood en route just incase but this was the only thing (other than drinks and food of course) that we had to bring. The beer fridge and pizza oven was great as well. With everything the lodge had you didn’t need to go out, spend lots of money and struggle to get the bar - you got the pub feel at “home” and the projector screen was great for Spotify or YouTube videos (could also be used for streaming services). The location was great - we went to the York outlet on the way there and then ventured into York for the Christmas markets after night number 1 which was great but we were keen to get back to the lodge for music, drinks and games night! We wished we had booked for longer… Would highly recommend this company and this lodge. I would be tempted to try the others as they look gorgeous but I feel we’ve been too spoilt with Blackthorn Lodge so we will definitely be booking again for a little weekday treat very soon.
