About this property
2 Bed in Yoxford (oc-hploug)
A cosy cottage, one of a pair hidden away in the beautiful Suffolk countryside near Yoxford, is ideal for couples, families or friends looking for a relaxing holiday on a working farm. The grounds of the Wolsey Farm include three acres of grassland with a fenced paddock for goats and a chicken run. You are welcome to walk in the grounds and visit the animals. Yoxford is a charming village with many walking routes around the beautiful parklands.
This charming two-storey property has been carefully restored to preserve the original character of the former cart lodge and boasts exposed wooden ceiling beams downstairs. The cottage has plenty of natural light and stylish furnishing in the living areas. Downstairs, the lounge is the heart of the home, and you will find a comfortable sofa and armchairs to sit and catch up or watch the TV. A wood burner keeps the room cosy through the cooler months, making this a great choice all year round. The kitchen has everything you need to make meal preparation a breeze, so you can enjoy dining together and catching up on the day’s events. Upstairs are two bedrooms, both with en-suite, one double and one king-size. Outside you’ll find a garden with garden furniture so you can fire up the BBQ and enjoy al fresco dining on fine days.
There are plenty of attractions in the local area, both on the coast and in the countryside and woodlands. The peaceful wetlands of RSPB Minsmere (7 miles) are a short drive away, while the Suffolk Heritage Coast at Dunwich (9 miles), with its beach and heath to explore, and the traditional seaside town of Aldeburgh (14 miles) are both easily accessible. Captain’s Wood (17 miles) has a lovely walk around the reserve, where there is peace, quiet, and plenty of wildlife to spot.
