Fakenham (6 miles) is a thriving market town home to the only National Hunt Racecourse in Norfolk. Alternatively, take a 4.5-mile drive to Burham Market to find upmarket boutiques, galleries, antique centres, and eateries. The Holkham Estate (8.5 miles) has sweeping sands, a stately home and nature reserve, while Wells-next-the-Sea has a characterful quayside where you’ll find fish and chip shops plus boat trip opportunities.

Located along the main coastal road through the village, this handsome holiday home has a brick and flint facade that’s synonymous with North Norfolk. Step through the front door into a charming sitting room, with a three-seater sofa and loveseat arranged before the wood burner and Smart TV. Stylish flooring, ceiling beams and a calm colour palette make this the setting for companionable evenings; choose a book from the shelves or open the bi-fold doors onto the rear garden, and you can unwind in true home-from-home comfort.
