Tintagel village (0.5 miles) is an easy stroll, with its slate cottages and cosy cafes, while Tintagel Beach (1 mile) lies just below the monument. Keen walkers can join the South West Coast Path to reach Bossiney Cove (1.5 miles), a tucked-away sandy spot with turquoise waters, or Trebarwith Strand (2.5 miles), buzzing with bodyboarders, rock pools and cliffside pubs. St Nectan’s Glen (2.5 miles) promises a magical woodland walk leading to a mossy gorge and waterfall, while further afield, Padstow and Polzeath are both within 25 miles.
