This wonderful shepherd’s hut, situated in a beautiful rural location with views of Foel and Llangadfan, is the perfect romantic retreat for two. Sleeping you both in a king-size bed, you’ll have no trouble drifting off surrounded by the peaceful countryside. Spend long summer evenings in the hot tub on the balcony with a glass of wine, planning your adventures for the days ahead. Additionally, guests are able to relax in the cosy chairs beside the balcony area to enjoy a delicious BBQ while soaking up the views. When the evenings turn cooler, you can warm up inside in front of the wood burner, enjoying a cosy atmosphere while watching your favourite TV shows. This shepherd's hut truly offers the best of both outdoor and indoor experiences. For safety and comfort reasons, please note that this property is not suitable for infants or children.
The hut, which is located on a working farm, is encompassed by acres of grazing land and stunning views for miles. Step onto your doorstep and out onto one of the many footpaths for a leisurely walk (or a more challenging hike) before heading back home. The open-plan living area has a cosy and welcoming atmosphere; light up the wood burner in the evening and snuggle up in front of the TV. Cook up a storm in the kitchen that has everything you need, or sizzle up a BBQ on the balcony and dine alfresco, lighting up the fire pit to keep you toasty as the sun goes down.
Take a visit to Lake Vyrnwy (12 miles) with its breathtaking dam and waterfall, or head slightly further afield to Pistyll Rhaeadr (22.5 miles), a waterfall described as one of the seven wonders of Wales. History buffs will love Powis Castle (19.5 miles); make sure you stroll the grounds to take advantage of its hilltop position and see the views over Welshpool. Enjoy cycling or walking down Montgomery Canal (29.5 miles) or bring your kayak or paddleboard and take to the water!
