About this property

1 Bed in Leintwardine (oc-b29785)

Charming and comfortable all year round, this quaint shepherd’s hut for two is nestled on the fringes of the Shropshire Hills National Landscape and offers picturesque views over the surrounding countryside. The nearby Roman village of Leintwardine (2 miles) sits just north of the River Teme and provides outdoor enthusiasts with an abundance of walks and cycle paths to explore together. Close to the borders of Powys and Shropshire, you’re never too far away from adventure, pick up the Herefordshire Trail near to the property or venture the scenic trails of Offa’s Dyke which is just 3 miles away. Knighton (6.5 miles), as well as the town of Presteigne (10 miles), offers the convenience of local amenities, along with a selection of country pubs to end a fun day of adventure. A day in Ludlow (12 miles) is a must, as are the historic sites of the National Trusts' Berrington Hall (15.5 miles) and the castles of Croft and Stokesay (both within 13.5 miles). Steam train enthusiasts can enjoy a day on the well-known Severn Valley Railway starting at Bridgnorth (16 miles).

Leave the hustle and bustle of the modern world behind as a few wooden steps lead you into the warmth of this handcrafted Welsh hut, which has been thoughtfully designed and beautifully finished to maximise space and comfort. The stylish kitchen provides all the equipment needed to rustle up a delicious meal for two. Serve dinner on the foldaway table in here or dine alfresco out on the scenic terrace. As the night draws in, step up into the double bedroom for a peaceful night’s sleep, which is perfectly positioned to maximise the stunning views that surround the hut. When you wake in the morning, open the curtains, make a brew, and admire the sights and sounds of nature from the comfort of bed. Enjoy lazy morning watching the TV here and start each day with an invigorating soak in the well-appointed shower room.

Heading outside, there is a private terrace in front of the hut with outdoor table and chairs from which you can dine alfresco or simply soak in the tranquil countryside views. Badger-faced sheep and resident ponies, Bobby and Sonny, graze in the fields before you, while the babble of an ancient mill stream, and birdsong create nature's playlist. Private, off-road parking for two cars is also available.
