The cottage also has three relaxing en-suite bedrooms: a stylish ground-floor double with a Smart TV and underfloor heating, with a cosy king-size room and a cheerful double both upstairs. Surrounded by glorious farmlands, the peaceful and private garden features a bubbling hot tub and a lovely patio area with outdoor furniture and a BBQ. There’s also ample enclosed parking space for multiple cars.

The River Tees is a brief stroll away, perfect for a spot of fishing. Darlington (6.5 miles) has an array of great cafes, restaurants, pubs and boutique shops, with the popular Hopetown Visitor Centre telling the story of this lively and historic town. Other local attractions include Kiplin Hall, Raby Castle and Rockliffe Hall with its golf course and spa (all within 18 miles).
