From the cottage, venture 6 miles to the beautiful, sandy stretches of Silverdale Beach or 10 miles to explore the National Trust’s handsome Sizergh Castle, with its beautiful gardens and parkland estate. Plan a day out to Windermere, 21 miles away in the Lake District. Book tickets for a boat cruise or board a steam train at Lakeside so you can soak up the scenery from the water or along the shores.
