About the host
Hosted by Ann Ellis
as visitors to the Conflent area for over 20 years Ann and I had a large villa in Joch . Now retired and fewer family members holidaying with us we recenctly purchased this house in Corneilla de Conflent. It was a renovation project but as a builder it was a little retirement challenge. Escaping the rain in Dolgellau being a motivation! The house was built in 1962 as a gite for walkers setting of up Le Canigou.
Why they chose this property
The climate, mountains and superb walks are a great draw for Ann and I. Mountain biking and exploring the mining history in the mountains being my particular interest. As a yachtsman I also enjoy visits to the nearby coastal resorts and we both love dining at the ports and marinas.
What makes this property unique
Having completed our renovations opening up spaces and installing a new kitchen we decided to involve the Conflent Canigo Office de Tourism and prepare our venue to meet the three stars rating. This upped our game and helped us to focus on providing the best possible experience for our guests.
