From your doorstep, you can hike to Garnfadryn mountain and its Iron Age hillfort – reach the top and you’ll be rewarded with sweeping views that will take your breath away. For a change of pace, the National Trust’s 16th-century manor house at Plas yn Rhiw is just 7.5 miles away.

This stylish escape, which is set all on one level, has been carefully decorated with pale walls and wooden floors for a calm and relaxing vibe. Step into the spacious lounge where there’s a wonderful wood burner, perfect for cosy evenings in. Settle into the comfortable seating and stream some movies on the Smart TV. In the elegant kitchen/diner, you’ll find all the equipment necessary for rustling up tasty holiday meals. There’s even a dishwasher to help with clean up. From the dining table, there are wonderful views of the garden and beyond to the mountain. Choose between two wonderful bedrooms: a double with the same incredible views, and a super-king-size with a skylight that boasts zip-and-link beds for flexibility. The enclosed garden includes a decked area with outdoor furniture, from which you can soak in the views as you fire up the BBQ and dine alfresco. There is dedicated parking for two cars on the drive, which is shared with the owner.
