About this property
Hollyhocks 2 Bedroom House + Extra Sleeping Option - Wiltshire
Welcome to our charming and comfortable Hollyhocks retreat, ideal for families or small groups looking to enjoy a relaxing stay in a beautiful Wiltshire setting.
The property can accommodate up to 6 guests and offers flexible sleeping arrangements to suit your needs. Inside the main house, there are two bedrooms: one featuring a king-size bed and the second set up with two single beds. For additional space and privacy, there is also a converted shed located outside, which provides an extra double bed and can be used during your stay.
All areas of the property are private and thoughtfully arranged for comfort and convenience. You will have access to a fully equipped kitchen, a welcoming living room, and a cosy fireplace that adds warmth and character, especially during cooler evenings.
Firewood can be purchased directly from the landlord at an additional cost of £20, which includes one bag of wood and kindling.
The main house also features a full bathroom with a bathtub and shower head, while the converted shed benefits from an additional WC, making it practical for larger groups.
The property has one flight of stairs inside, which leads to the upper floors, so guests should be comfortable using stairs during their stay. Our check-in method is simple and convenient: Self-check-in is the only option, with the key securely stored in a key safe at the property.
For parking, there is private on-site parking available at the back of the house near the shed. One free parking space is provided, allowing for a hassle-free arrival and stay.
The surrounding area offers plenty to explore, blending countryside charm with rich history and local character. You can enjoy scenic walks along the nearby canal, ideal for relaxed strolls or longer rambles through peaceful landscapes. The historic town centre is known for its beautiful stone buildings, independent boutiques, cafés, and traditional pubs where you can sample local food and drink. The area is also well connected for day trips, with the famous Roman city of Bath close by, offering iconic sights such as Roman Baths, Georgian architecture, museums, shops, and restaurants. Beyond Bath, the wider Wiltshire countryside is perfect for exploring charming villages, rolling hills, and well-marked walking and cycling routes. Guests can also visit historic landmarks, manor houses, and gardens, or simply enjoy the slower pace of life that makes this area so special.
Please note that a security deposit registration will need to be completed prior to arrival in order to receive the codes for check-in. No money is actually charged, but there is a pre-authorisation of 1 euro.
