About this property
Monkey Mountain/Khao Takiab townhome, 2 minute walk to Hua Hin's favorite beach
Khao Takiab is known for a more quiet and relaxed vibe, and this home has super easy access to the beach and the local fishing village. The property is on a super quiet street (except when there are FUN festivals a few times a year at the beach!) and even has parking in front.
The home is within walking distance to a twice weekly fresh food market, temples, and even a mangrove forest. Down the street is Monkey Mountain and the colorful local fishing village where you can purchase fresh seafood or dine in one of the restaurants.
Bars, restaurants, spas, two convenient stores, ATM's, and an evening dinner market are walkable from the home.
It is a quick 3 minute walk down the street to the beachfront, less than a 2 minute walk to the community pool, and a 10 minute walk to the local songthaew (15 baht bus) that takes you to the malls, markets, and even the local airport. There are two great malls (Bluport and Market Village) within a few minute's drive where you can catch a movie, enjoy an indoor playground, eat at their amazing foodcourts, or even have botox. Cicada and Tamarind markets are even closer if you want to catch some live music while you eat from hundreds of food stalls on the weekend.
On the beach, you can take a quiet walk, surf, ride a horse, get a massage, rent a jetski, or hop on a banana boat. Pedicures, massages, and smoothies are available under the umbrellas at your choice of restaurant huts along the beach. Don't worry if you forgot your hat or a wrap, there are vendors gently selling their wares, and golf lovers will enjoy the course right down the road.
Hua Hin is close enough to some real adventure also. Several elephant/animal rescues are nearby and there are many temples to visit. Waterparks, ziplining, and waterfalls are available for the adventurous spirits.
This 4 bedroom home has pretty much everything you need to give everyone in your group space to call their own. On the bottom floor, there is a large king size bedroom with a fold-out couch and a great view of Monkey Mountain. There is a large dining area, with seating for at least 6 at the main table and various other tables scattered about. The kitchen has just about everything you need (most traditional Thai homes do not have ovens) but there is a toaster oven and a microwave, as well as a 2 burner stove. The local food is so good (and affordable) that you might not even want to cook at home! You can also eat breakfast on the front patio or swing in one of the hammocks.
Upstairs you will find 3 more bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a large outside deck. There are also outside spaces for each bedroom.
While there is a flat screen TV in the main living room, we also have boardgames, toys, and books available for the kids and there is space on the quiet street to play.
For our guests, we leave a guidebook for tips and ideas of things to see and do in the area. From cave temples to pirate ship sunset cruises, Hua Hin provides a quiet and relaxing vacation or one full of adventure. Your choice! Either way, our home is the perfect spot for your travels.

About the host
Hosted by Tracy
We are a large family that loves to travel. Because there are so many of us, it can be hard to find accommodations in traditional lodgings, so we like the idea of home rentals such as this. We so love Thailand and especially this area and are happy to share this with others.
Why they chose this property
Hua Hin is home to so many fun things to do. It has all of the amenities and something for everyone. It has nature, sports, adventure, animals, spirituality, and water activities.
What makes this property unique
Location, location, location. Seriously, we think we have the best spot in the city. Of course, if you are a serious partier who needs nightlife and loud music, this is NOT the spot for you. Better to be closer to downtown, but if you love the beach, birds chirping, and ease of accessibility to everything, then our villa is great.
