Take a short walk to Dartmouth Castle and Sugary Cove, or take the ferry across to Kingswear to visit The Daymark and experience the beautiful views.
Why not step away from the shore and take up one of the many boat rides which can be caught from the waterfront, with sights to see including historical Greenway Holt, the home of Agatha Christie and a selection of nautical wildlife too, from seals to sea birds.

Nestled in the historic town of Dartmouth, within the South Hams Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Crowthers Cottage is a charming three-bedroom home dating back to 1750. Recently renovated to a high standard, the cottage beautifully balances period character with contemporary comfort, creating a welcoming retreat for families or groups of up to six guests.
Step inside and you’re greeted by a bright, open-plan living space where cooking, dining, and relaxing flow effortlessly together. The well-equipped kitchen includes an electric oven and hob, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, and all the essentials for self-catering with ease. Gather around the dining table to plan the day ahead, then unwind in the cosy sitting area, complete with Smart TV and electric log burner, perfect for evenings in after exploring the coast.
A handy utility cupboard on the ground floor houses a washing machine and additional freezer space, ideal for longer stays. To the rear of the cottage, an enclosed courtyard terrace offers outdoor seating and elevated views across the town towards the River Dart, a peaceful spot for morning coffee or evening drinks.
On the first floor, a contemporary shower room with walk-in shower and heated towel rail provides a refreshing space to unwind. This level also features two beautifully presented bedrooms: a super-king-size room with zip-and-link flexibility (can be made into twins on request) and a king-size bedroom with its own en-suite walk-in shower room.
The final bedroom is located on the second floor, a charming twin room with desk space and Velux window offering rooftop views across Dartmouth. Please note there are low beams when accessing this floor, adding to the cottage’s historic character.

The property has no parking on site; however, we offer the use of a local parking permit that allows free parking in the main central car park, located just a five minute walk from the property.
Access Road:
Crowthers Hill is quite steep and as such isn't suited for those with limited mobility and pulling up outside the property is often difficult.
Pets:
One well behave pet accepted - house rules to be followed.
Mobility:
Given the property is on a steep hill we would advise it is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues.
