About this property
Amazing city cottage close to the river .
There is a cast iron stove fireplace in the lounge if you’d like to snuggle up after a day’s sightseeing and a roll-top bath if you’d like a luxurious soak after a day on your feet. There is also a rain forest shower. The house has a newly fitted central heating system operated by an easy to use smart controller which we can remotely access should you need any help with the heating controls. Located with views of St Mary's Church also known as the ( Church of St Mary-without -the-walls )
Dukes Cottage is situated a very short walk from the river and city centre . Within a two minute walk you will have walked over the River Dee and into the Historic city of Chester .
Chester is a city founded as a Roman fortress in the 1st century A.D. It's known for its extensive Roman walls made of local red sandstone. In the old city, the Rows is a shopping district distinguished by 2-level covered arcades and Tudor-style half-timber buildings. A Roman amphitheatre, with ongoing excavations, lies just outside the old city's walls.
Easy access to free on street parking and also off road parking available locally at 5GBP per day.
There are two bedrooms and a sofa bed downstairs in the living room. Bedding for the sofa bed is only provided for bookings with more than 4 guests unless requested in advance. There is a charge of 15GBP for the sofa-bed bedding if required.
There is a washer/dryer and dishwasher in the house, free Wi-Fi and televisions in the bedrooms and lounge. The house has a nicely lit rear yard overlooking the church.
