Very relaxing environment, at the end of a long day, nice big fluffy towels, hot shower, comfy beds, great kitchen to cook meals. Home has great light, surrounded by beautiful fields and woods with paths for walking and exploring. Will definitely be back again!
Stunning property, finished to the highest standards, everything you need and the comfiest beds ever (don’t think I’ve ever slept so well in a rental property). Beautiful, quiet and scenic location. Would highly recommend.

Paula thank you so much for such generous words it is very much appreciated . It’s so beautiful here with all the Autumn colours and as you say peaceful , very much hope to welcome you all again to the pheasantsnye
We (2 parents, 2 children under 6) had a great week staying here. The property is well equipped but the real highlight is the outdoor space which is perfect for young children.
It is also well located for family days out and we would highly recommend both Bewilderwood and The Ice Cream Factory for young families, both within 15 minute drive.
Having a pub with a playground less than 10 minutes walk away also helps!
Thanks for a great stay.

Thanks Alan for your wonderful review. So glad you enjoyed your stay with us
Beautiful cottage in lovely grounds, Superb view. Very secluded, the sound of silence is deafening!. However only 3 miles from Tattenhall with a supermarket , a couple of pubs and a great chippy.Great facilities, spotllessly clean. We will definitely be back
Country cottage in good location. Interior is well decorated and in great condition. Very well equipped kitchen and living room. 3 decent sized comfortable bedrooms with their own facilities making it ideal. Owner is quick to respond and sort any issues if they occur. Overall, an excellent choice to rent, so definitely recommended.
The property looks amazing and is furnished to a very high standard, is very clean and the location is good.
The only slight thing we noticed is that the lounge furniture is not very comfortable for a night in.
A beautiful property, absolutely immaculate with the most comfortable beds!
The pheasantsnye is a wonderful cottage in a fantastic location . The house was immaculate and very well equipped . Big fluffy towels and the most comfortable beds with laundered whitecompany linen. Everyone slept really well . The WiFi was super fast fibre which we didn’t expect in a rural location
The bedrooms are all en-suite bathrooms very clean and the big double bath was a real luxury
We loved everything about the property and can’t wait to return . The walks straight from the garden were fantastic especially when you can call in at some great pubs along the way

Thank you so much for the great review .
We are glad you enjoyed everything and found it immaculate we work very hard to ensure all our guests leave wanting to return
Property design was lovely but that doesn’t necessarily mean comfort! Both the chairs and the beds were uncomfortable which wasn’t conducive to a relaxing stay. No welcome pack despite being in info. No instructions for washer /dryer. Not enough big towels.

Caroline thanks for your review which I have to say I am somewhat surprised with . Our beds are all Vi spring ( the most expensive and comfortable beds in the world) all of our reviews mention how incredibly comfortable they are . We have never had anyone mention the chairs and indeed they were re upholstered very recently so are bouncy and fresh.
With regard to a welcome pack we detail that we leave coffee pods, tea sugar salt and pepper but not a pack as such .
Finally we use white company bath towels and sheets and hand towels We are only next door and if there was an issue with anything we would have very happily come to your aid to answer any further questions you have . Apologies for the lack of instructions for the Bosch washer dryer , the old ones had become a little scruffy so I’d had them re printed but I think they were not returned to the back of the washer dryer door for ease of use

Liked: Location
Disliked: Cleanliness, communication
Once you peel back yhe pretty exterior and surroundings the inside is biologically toxic, filthy.
The house had not been cleaned nor the floors and surfaces.Dust and flies conspicuously evident.Toilet continually ran so was continually noisy ..obs a problem with the flush valve system. The sink in the same bathroom needs an unblocker product of sorts or needs to be stripped down and cleaned.Hair dryer not working and no PAT test certificate.Lights either side of one of the beds not working.Foluage either side of drive needs cutting back.
Kingsland insulation phenolic foam splattered amongst spiders Web on thecwall outside front door.
Not a five star rating. The host states "We take care to maintain our accommodation to a very high standard ."

I had to sit down when reading this review in utter disbelief
Almost every review on this site comments and praises the cleanliness of our cottage. To say it was not cleaned is simply untrue; the cottage was prepared the day before your arrival. You requested a very late check in after 10pm so we left lights on, parking lit etc to ensure your safe arrival
I am sorry if there was a spiders’ web on the wall outside the front door, which could have easily occurred within 24 hours of cleaning, we are after all in the countryside.
All the bedside lights were operational in all the bedrooms and to create good ambience they are operated from the main switch via a 5-amp system as well as being individually controlled so this may have given the appearance of a non-working light. If a bulb for some reason blows we leave a number of light bulbs to replace them in the kitchen drawer easily accessible
.
Again all the hairdryers were working, the PAT test you mention is not a legal requirement and since all the 4 hairdryers in the cottage are well under 1 year old we do not deem it necessary.
Regarding the loo, if as you suggest, it was running why on earth did you not contact us? We are literally next-door and respond immediately.
The beautiful driveway to the cottage is fern lined so our apologies if one or two had grown the heat and then followed by rain may have caused them to lean in to the drive.
If I had stepped into a house you call biologically toxic I would have immediately called the owners (whose mobile you had )to voice my concerns, if the loo was running constantly disturbing my sleep I would have contacted them immediately not stayed on for 3 nights making absolutely no mention of it.
I am truly struggling to understand the motivation for leaving such a review.
I am so glad you think it a beautiful location and pretty house.
Pheasants Nye was exactly what we needed: a gorgeous cottage in the Cheshire countryside, tucked away from the busyness of life. We loved our time and are grateful to Ellie for her incredible hospitality.
My daughter, her husband and her two young children had a lovely stay at the cottage which is very beautiful and homely and in a area with many great attractions. Many thanks.
Fantastic house with amazing views and Ellie was great sorting the house with such short notice due to our cancelled flights to Sicily. Most nights were spent playing games in front of the fire, I just wish we could have stayed longer.
Beautiful house in a beautiful location. Easily accommodated 2x grandparents, 2 x adults, 2 x grandchildren (22 & 19) and 2 dogs. Immaculately clean and every piece of equipment you could wish for to make it a home from experience. Fabulous walks from your front door and a great pub serving great food and beer not 8 minutes walk from your door. What more could you ask for?! Thank you for a brilliant weekend.
We were looking for that really perfect place for a special family celebration. Pheasants Nye certainly did not disappoint. It was oozing with character, a lovely dining kitchen ideal for family time, 3 bedrooms all with en-suites and an absolutely great location with stunning views right on ‘The Sandstone Trail.’ We will certainly be back for another visit very soon.
This cottage was pretty much perfect for our stay. It is spotlessly clean and in a beautiful location. In the summer I expect the garden is a fabulous place to be. I would definitely recommend it.
One thing to be aware of is that there are no staples such as cooking oil left in the kitchen and there is no "fridge pack" on your arrival, apart from a jug of milk, so you need to come prepared.

Katherine hello
Thank you so much for the wonderful review.
We do leave tea, sugar, coffee( the pods for the machine ) salt & pepper, in proper pepper mills, milk and either cookies or cake so guests can have a welcome snack when they arrive. We will add olive oil to the list😀
PS for those that want to order a grocery delivery we will always unpack and put it away ready for your arrival .
Hope to welcome you again to the cottage
Best wishes
Eleanor
A stunning cottage, a relaxing vacation for the two of us after a busy few weeks at home. Location perfect for Chester, Nantwich and local pubs. The Poacher just 6 minute walk across the field.
The property is located in a beautiful spot - peaceful, rural and lovely setting. Easy access to several nearby attractions - Chester Zoo, Chesire Oaks, etc.
We had a great time - there are many walks on your doorstep and lots of friendly locals about. The actual house is clean, well decorated and very comfortable with everything you would need for a long weekend. The beds are extremely comfortable too so everyone had a great nights sleep! We would definitely return. Thanks Ellie

Beautiful sunny bright peckforton cottage
Could not fault the pheasants nye - it’s beautiful. We loved the privacy and being able to walk onto the sandstone trail without going on a road is fantastic. Our dog buster loved it, the walks are amazing and the cottage is so cosy and the beds are the best we’ve slept in .
We stayed as we were having work done to our house locally and needed a rest from the builders ! I picked up some great design ideas from the house which is really well done and a credit to the owner.

the best of cheshire
The best of Cheshire
We stayed at this fantastic cottage in 2016 and have been desperate to return and were so delighted to find it as magical as before! The children love the huge garden and sense of space .
We spent a day at Chester Zoo which is just a 25 min easy drive away. The cottage is so comfortable with a wood burning stove and lots of throws to snuggle under.
With walks straight from the garden gate it was easy to walk as a family. It is so well equipped that baking and cooking in the kitchen was a pleasure as it has all the things you need and more ! Lots of little touches from binoculars and books for the children to spot different birds, to linen napkins for a grown up dinner - and we loved the huge red wine goblets! We will be back again and again!

Beautiful, fabulous, amazing! Peckforton cottage
This is the perfect cottage , tucked away, completely private, secluded, beautiful views and so bright and sunny .The terrace and garden is south facing so on one day we had breakfast outside - yes in November!!
I just can't praise the Pheasants Nye enough .The beds are amazingly comfortable, the white company linen is professionally laundered and so soft. Everything is immaculate from the paint work to the woodburning stove and everything in the kitchen and bathrooms.( wonderful fluffy white towels)
Having all the bedrooms en suite makes such a difference and there is even an extra loo downstairs with the most fabulous stone sink. It was like staying in a boutique hotel but better!
On arrival there was freshly made carrot cake and a pot of tea - much appreciated after a long drive from Devon.Nothing was too much trouble for the owner from our list of questions before we arrived to helping us book taxis for a night out at Piste Brasserie in Tarporley.
We had a long walk straight from the door on Sunday and didn't step foot on a road, a delicious lunch at The Pheasant Inn and then back as the sun set to a roaring log fire.
It simply could not have been more perfect.

Incredible house, amazing location set in the peckforton hills
All the reviews about this cottage are completely accurate .It is stunning, from its location to the sunny bright interiors to the incredible beds. We could not fault a thing it is peaceful, uber comfortable and set in the most idyllic location.
All the family loved it, the children enjoyed the freedom to run about and the adults loved all the contemporary thoughtful touches. The owner was very helpful in arranging some special requests including chilled champagne and all our food delivery was packed away ready for our arrival.
A fantastic table had been booked for us in a nearby brasserie (Piste)- nothing was too much trouble.A truly 5 star experience. It is close to Tarporley and only 20 mins from Chester. There is so much to see and do .We could not recommend it more highly.
