This flat is a really good place to stay for a few days! It’s located pretty much perfectly, well connected to everything you‘d wanna visit and with everything you need for fun or daily life nearby. It is decently sized and the fact you only have to take one flight of stairs is a very welcome bonus. Would definitely recommend!
Picking up the key at the store around the corner was easy enough. The flat was clean & Owner was responsive however, the Building is old, the stairs & walls inside the building are dirty and every night you come back to garbage that people leave outside the entrance (old clothes, shoes, TV, etc).
The flat itself has no air just 2 fans that don't really help with the heat. We were only able to open 1 of the windows but the street was too loud and mosquitos would get in if we left it open.
Locking & unlocking the door to the flat was difficult even though we followed the owner's instructions.
We ended up leaving to a hotel 1 day early.
Host sent clear instructions on where to pick up the keys, which is a store around the corner. Upon arrival we were surprised at how the building looks as it seems old. The garbage area is right next door to the entrance of the building & trash bags where everywhere. Just makes it look really bad. Every night you come home to trash, clothes and other items thrown on the floor right next to the entrance door.Once you enter, the hallway and stairs to the flat are dirty and honestly makes you want to leave. To open and lock the flat is stressful. Between turning the key and lifting the handle every which way until it opens or locks, you can't help but get frustrated. Not safe in case of an emergency since you are basically locked out until you get it to work. The flat itself was really clean, smelled good & host set up the sofa in the living room into a bed for us. However, it is very hot and the 2 fans don't help. No A/C. We were only able to open 1 window in the bedroom but it was too loud outside to sleep with it open plus bugs get in. We left a day early to a hotel.Pros: Close to the Tower Bridge, Tower of London, a few stores and restaurants and lots of bus stops.Cons: Condition and look of the building, no lift, issue with key and lock, too hot with no A/C, it seems to only have washer not dryer, trash outside every night.
