Town: Mow Cop is a small village split right between Staffordshire and Cheshire meaning it is divided between the North West and West Midlands areas. The most prominent feature of the village is the ruined Mow Cop Castle which lies at the summit of the village. Built in 1754 and steeped in rich history both the castle and Old Man O'Mow are now under the management of the National Trust. Both are part of the Cheshire Gritstone Trail which is a glorious route decorated with sights like these. The village has two pubs which are lovely spots for a cold beer and has a grocery store so you can easily fill up on any essentials you need during your stay. The surrounding areas are rich in scenic spots and attractions with Cheshire View, Rode Hall and National Trust - Little Moreton Hall being exceptional points of interest. Mow Cop also enjoys close proximity to Stoke-on-Trent meaning a day in the city is not far away. Here, you can enjoy family fun at Waterworld and visit the many independent shops, pubs, and restaurants.
