Oakworth is a small village two miles from Haworth that overlooks the Worth Valley and was made famous by the filming of E.E. Nesbitt's novel, The Railway Children in 1970. The famed Brontë sisters, who were much inspired by the surrounding moorland, lived in nearby Haworth.
