The Neighborhood:

In Christleton, Cheshire, tourists may find a shop, a village inn, a church and a pond, which is home to the local ducks! Chester, a Roman city just 3 miles away, has been referred to as "the jewel of the North-West of England" for a reason. From Roman walls and amphitheatres to mediaeval churches, Elizabethan timber-framed townhouses, and Georgian terraces, there is evidence of the city's history in a relatively small space. This is perhaps one of the most fascinating aspects of the city: There is a lot to see and do in the city, including great shopping in the famed Rows and beautiful hikes surrounding the city limits, such as via Grosvenor Park or the Roman walls. Cheshire's market towns and Cheshire's quaint villages are all within easy driving distance, while the adjacent Wirral Peninsula has numerous excellent golf courses to choose from.

Awful

Worse experience ever with a VRBO property.Prior to arrival I was asked to buy batteries for the Hive because they were running low. The batteries were dead!Externally not good. Two wrecked cars on forecourt, dustbins tipped over and full of refuse. Back garden unkempt and drain overflowing.Inside the house was dirty and unclean. We had to wash the utensils and plates. The house was full of mould and mildew around the upstairs windows and woodwork.Evidence of hardened rodent droppings was evident. The single bedroom was not prepared with no sheets, pillow sheets or duvet cover. The duvet was rotten. One member of our party left for home. All in all Christmas was ruined.I informed the owner who went into total denial. Falsely accusing me of leaving the house on 30 degrees!I took photos and videos which I forwarded to the owner. To date they have not been looked at. I have been promised 3 phone calls at certain times of the day. Again no calls.Really disappointed in all aspects and respects
