Imagine waking up to the sound of the ocean, wandering through to a light-filled kitchen and breakfasting alongside an idyllic seascape where the ever-changing colours of the expansive waters stretch out to meet the horizon as far as the eye can see.
This is the wonderful setting that awaits guests at Casa do Seixo. Situated just a few metres from the water’s edge on the rustic tract of coastline that extends northwards from the pretty coastal village of Oia, the house looks north, south and westwards to the sea amidst a scenic landscape of meadows, fields and country lanes. Encircled by a wall of typical local stone the spacious lawned garden and enticing pool provide an attractive retreat for days at home by the sea whilst a crisp décor of light hues and clean lines gives a fresh, maritime ambience to the smart interior.

In the attractive waterfront village of Oia a series of paved streets wind their way past typical stone houses and are home to two restaurants, a small grocery shop, a bakery, cafes and the nearest sandy beach. Being only 700m from the house this charming hub of local activity and amenities can be reached on foot via the well signed Camino de Santiago which follows this section of coast along a scenic footpath. For trips out, more energetic guests will be pleased to discover the cycle track which follows the coast road both south to the atmospheric port of A Guarda (12km) and north to the chic coastal town of Baiona (16km).
