We moved to the Adirondacks in 2010 and love living here year-round! The photo shows us on our wedding day in 2011 atop Little Whiteface Mountain just after the ceremony. It was a lovely June day! The beautiful mountains for hiking and peaceful lakes for paddling drew us here. Prior to our move, we were living just outside Harrisburg, PA where Bill grew up. Susan grew up in Roanoke, VA and spent her summers on Smith Mountain Lake where her appreciation for nature bloomed and grew. We enjoy sharing the area with our 4 children and 8 grandchildren who come to visit occasionally.

Why Susan and Bill Harral chose Wilmington
We fell in love with this adorable and cozy chalet. We decided that if we felt so comfortable here then others would too. The location is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts, ready for adventure!! Perfectly situated on a nicely wooded lot near the top of a quiet road, it's truly an idyllic setting. We live only 20 minutes away so are close by for any needs which may arise at the chalet!
What makes this Chalet unique
The chalet is unique in that it is comfortable for a family or group of friends, yet very intimate for a couple or a single person. It's a great place just "to be" whether it's sitting up in the loft in the comfy, oversized chair reading a good book while listening to the gentle rain on the skylight or in the living room snuggled on the couch by the fireplace warming your soul. By the way, your firewood is cut, stacked and ready to go at the 46er! There is always a soft throw or a blanket at hand to wrap yourself in and many pillows to arrange for that "just perfect fit". In the winter, you'll appreciate the hot water radiators for warming up your towels or drying wet mittens and socks. The kitchen is well-equipped, making it easy to prepare a simple breakfast or a Thanksgiving feast. We invite you to come and see for yourself how special a place this is and it's our hope that you will want to come back again and again!!
