About this property
Cute Cabin with Hot Tub on 18 acres Near Whiteface & Adirondack Wildlife Refuge
Three miles from the Whiteface Mountain ski center, perched on an 18 acre wooded slope divided by a year-round peaceful mountain stream, Pine Hill Cabin is a beautifully rebuilt Adirondack cabin, with pine floors, and an old stone fireplace. Pine Hill Cabin has three bedrooms, 2 baths, a balcony with mountain views, a kitchen, washer-dryer and a 2-bay drive-in car port. Linens, cooking and eating utensils, Cable TV, cable modem for high speed internet access, and DVD, make Pine Hill Cabin a rustic and relaxing home away from home. Seasonal chills are kept out with a hot air furnace.
All you need to bring with you are clothes, food, ski gear, hiking gear or fishing poles. campfire near the barbecue in the back yard provides a great place for the family to gather in the evening, to review the days activities, have a family sing-along, or just to listen to the waters of the stream, while counting the stars in the clear Adirondack skies, and inhaling the fragrance of the pines which enclose the yard.
Serious hikers are within easy range of High Peaks Trails. The trail up Whiteface Mountain and Esther begins a 1/4 mile from the driveway. The Veterans Memorial "Highway", the beautiful 2-lane country road up the back of Whiteface Mountain, which Pine Hill cabin sits off of, features great views, a specially stocked trout pond for young kids, as well as America's very first theme park, "Santa's Workshop at the North Pole", a great place for kids to pet reindeer, enjoy kiddie rides, and meet Santa's elves.
Restaurants, stores and a sandy beach are all within walking distance of the cabin. The High Peaks towns of Wilmington, Jay and Lake Placid offer nightly summer activities for young and old alike, everything from plays, concerts and art exhibits to fireworks and blue-grass/ rock and country bands under the stars.
Pine Hill Cabin has a three night minimum stay. Formed by the damming of the West Branch of the Ausable River, at the bridge in Wilmington, Lake Everest has a public beach in Wilmington, within walking distance of Pine Hill Cabin.
