This listing is not accurate. It’s not right off McCarren park. The host left a wet duvet in the home, and when we washed sheets the washer broke and had water all over the floor. Then, the washer was never fixed they just told us not to use it anymore. But we had to mop up the water from the washer with our towels, so then I had to go buy towels (which isn’t the simplest thing in NY - I mean I had to take a train it’s not like I can just go around the corner). The hosts didn’t inform us that the management changed the front door lock in the middle of our stay so we were locked out of our place for more than 5 hours (on the day of our friends wedding - so we couldn’t get ready and were late to the wedding which was embarrassing and out of our control). Do NOT book this VRBO. A sham.

The listing for the property states an incorrect address/area of Brooklyn. I was suspicious of this when the owner made me agree to a specific location before she would approve my request. Once approved, my suspicion was confirmed that the address revealed did not match what she had provided. When questioned she said she had a glitch in her system. I contacted support and they let me know that the locations were about 15 min apart but that the owner was a legitimate Vrbo host, and it was one day before our travel so I agreed to keep the reservation. I regret that I did. The location is in an industrial area not within a 2-3 min walk to several restaurants/parks as the listing and the owner stated in messages. The noise level was awful all night. The location given in the listing is a much cleaner, safer, quieter residential area. We traveled with a baby and had to go through an overly complicated check in process, and the apartment is on the 3rd floor- not ideal for a stroller and baby gear. We also spent hundreds of dollars on Ubers and Uber Eats because the location was falsely represented and is not close to anything! The apartment was clean and the person we met to walk us to the property to check in was very helpful. There is one king bed and 2 full beds, but one of the bedrooms is much smaller. There were no toiletries provided. The curtains filtered zero light so the rooms were lit my street lights at night. The AC was in the den so the bedrooms were unreasonably hot
