About this property

Historic town house from the 1700s

Right on the border between Central Jutland and North Jutland lies the enchanting and charming town of Mariager. It's steeped in history and is a testament to a bygone era. The same goes for this historic gem of a townhouse, located right in the heart of Mariager. The house is one of Mariager's oldest, it's listed, and it was built in - wait for it - the 1770s. A real piece of history.

As soon as you step through the door of this fantastic townhouse, you'll feel it. Calm will settle into your body. You'll automatically slow down. It's like stepping into a historic, idyllic time warp filled with soul. The house is newly renovated, but it is clear that it has been done with enormous respect for the original, historical expression. The kitchen is cozy and romantic, and the old fireplace has been preserved. The rooms are bright with fine, minimalist details, and it's extremely spacious and family-friendly.

The house has its own private patio. It's the perfect place to sit and enjoy a cold glass of white wine while the sun goes down. Curl up in the hammock, feel the peace and quiet in the middle of the city. If you're looking for action, explore Mariager's beautiful city center, known for its impressive monastery church, Rosenhaven, quirky houses and cobblestone streets. Take a walk down to the fjord and jump into the stunning water, or take a picnic basket to the old forest close to the house. If you want to explore the history in nature, head up the stairs to the right of the house. The stairs will lead you to Hohøj, Scandinavia's largest burial mound and one of Jutland's most distinguished ancient monuments. With its fantastic location at 110 meters above sea level, you can enjoy beautiful views of Mariager Fjord and the impressive hilly landscape around.

The house is ideal for a family of up to five people.
