Modern house offering all comforts including:
- on the ground floor: living/dining room with TV and sofa bed, equipped American kitchen, bathroom and separate toilet;
- and upstairs: 2 bedrooms with fitted wardrobes, one with a double bed, the other with 3 single beds and a desk. Wifi included.

Perfect for couples and families, the house is ideally located, a few steps from the center, shops and restaurants, and facing the sea with access in 2 minutes by an alley on the beach of St Germain sur Ay, in the swimming area supervised by the SNSM.

You will discover the joys of swimming and fishing on foot, good air without pollution, wide open spaces, trails in the dunes, and magnificent sunsets! Not to mention the islands of Jersey and Guernsey, Mont St Michel, the Viking castle in Pirou, the hikes in the cliffs of Carteret and La Hague... And our local gastronomy (seafood, salt-meadow lamb, Camembert cheeses Réo in Lessay, cider, Calvados...).

Please note:
- The house has been completely renovated in 2024 (all the rooms, not to mention the roof and insulation). It now offers great comfort!
- The house shares the land of the property and the access to the alley that leads to the beach with another house. And it's great for well-behaved dogs:) who love the great outdoors!
- and don't forget to bring your own linen... We provide you with blankets, pillows and duvets, but not sheets, pillowcases, covers and towels. Thank you!

We had a very nice stay. The house has been lovingly renovated and has every amenity. The kitchen is well-equipped. The location, right on the beach, is wonderful and very quiet. Christophe was a wonderful host; we felt completely at home and would book again anytime.

Long weekend in Normandy

We enjoyed our family long weekend in Normandy with our 2 children and our dog. The house was newly renovated. Nice sea views from the hous top floor. Directly on the beach, only the small garden gate to be opened. We loved it and we will came back 😊

We had a wonderful stay at this freshly renovated and very cozy holiday home. The renovation was definitely worth it, making the interior even better than expected. The listing doesn’t fully reflect the recent renovations—inside, it exceeded our expectations. However, the exterior photos could be improved as they show the neighboring property and a path to the beach that no longer exists. The house is actually set back from the main road, and the “garden” is shared with several houses and also serves as a parking area. The listing could be more accurate in this regard. Despite this, there is a fantastic path to the beach just 1-2 minutes away, which we absolutely loved. The region is phenomenal, and the view from the first floor is breathtaking. The house is well-equipped, though we recommend bringing your own pots and pans if you plan to do a lot of cooking—the induction stove is excellent. The house was spotless, and communication with the hosts was perfect—nothing more we could have wished for. The front doors are secured with additional wooden panels, which is great for safety, but they don’t fully open after the renovation as they catch at the top. The beds were very clean, and the mattresses were good but a bit soft for our taste—though that’s a matter of preference. The WiFi was perfect, with strong 5G coverage. The beach and the surrounding coastline are simply stunning! Shops and supermarkets are nearby, making everything very convenient.

Thank you Nicolaj for these comprehensive comments! The house has indeed been completely renovated recently, the interior is brand new! We haven't had time to take photos in the format allowed by VRBO yet to update our listing, but we will as soon as we return to Normandy! As for the large plot of land on the property, it is effectively shared between 2 houses. They all have direct access to the path that leads to the beach in less than 2 minutes! And a fence separates the front house from the back house, so everyone has their privacy. See you soon I hope to welcome you again!

Ein schönes Haus, super nah am Strand und sehr hundefreundlich mit einem fast komplett eingezäunten Garten (der Zaun war an einer Stelle etwas kaputt) Leider ist dort eine zu kleine Couch die eher nur für eine Person geeignet ist anstatt für zwei Personen. Dadurch kann man sich da nicht wirklich hinlegen und einen entspannten Abend verbringen. Leider mussten wir auch das Internet (mobiler Router) für zwei Tage abgeben, was natürlich nicht so schön war

Super séjour, emplacement idéal au bord de la mer. Vue sur mer fabuleuse de la chambre principale. Maison très propre et fonctionnelle, électroménager de qualité. Merci d’accepter les animaux de compagnie. Le propriétaire Christophe est très arrangeant et facilement joignable. Le village est paisible, les huîtres de Saint-Germain sur Ay récoltées en face de la maison sont délicieuses !

L'hôte Monsieur Christophe DIDIER est très sympathique.En ce qui concerne le logement tout est bien conçu à part pour nous un petit bemol : le lit de 140 x 200 n'est pas du tout confortable. Trop petit et le matelas vient nous rabattre l'un sur l'autre. Il faudrait y remédier pour les prochains locataires à notre point de vue. Le logement est bien situé et très près de la plage et des dunes. Le coin est magnifique. Autre petite remarque : la hotte n'est pas relié à une sortie extérieure donc un peu problématique lors de cuissons. On doit pour y remédier : ouvrir la fenêtre de la cuisine. Notre séjour s'est très très bien déroulé et le logement était très accueillant. Merci beaucoup. Logement à recommander

Je vous recommande ce logement à Saint Germain sur Ay, propre, refait à neuf, fonctionnel et proche restaurants et commerce. Le tout avec les pieds dans l'eau et une vue imprenable sur la mer.Saint Germain sur Ay est une petite station balnéaire située à 1H au dessus de Granville.Familiale mais calme et sauvage à la fois, une vraie découverte. wir waren zu dritt Anfang bis Mitte Juli in dem Haus. Es handelt sich um eine Haushälfte mit einer Wohnung über 2 Etagen. Wie angegeben wurde die Wohnung vor kurzem renoviert und ist modern, funktional, hell und sauber. Vor dem Haus steht das Haus des Vermieters.(vom Strand aus geshen) Christopher und seine Frau Leonore sind sehr nett und was uns sehr entgegenkam mehrsprachig, auch Deutsch. Eine abendliche Einladung zum Aperitiff war sehr schön und unterhaltsam. Phantastisch ist der Blick vom oberen Schlafzimmer und der Küche aufs Meer wo man die wechselnden Gezeiten gut beobachten kann. Der kurze Weg zum Strand (100m) haben wir voll ausgekostet. Das Schwimmen im Meer war mit Wassertemperaturen um 20Grad angenehm. WLAN war manchmal etwas wacjkelig, aber grundsätzlich ok. Das Auto kann man auf dem Grundstück abstellen.Einkaufsmöglichkeiten bestehn im Ort oder im Intermarche in Lessay ca.10km. Insgesamt war es für uns ein toller Urlaub.Die Normandie ist sehr schön und es gibt viel zu erkunden (Landungsstrände,Mont aint Michel,Chateau Pirou und Wanderungen am Strand und Steilküste.

14 wunderbare Tage in Saint Germain

Im Vorfeld hatten wir Kontakt mit Christophe, der sehr zuvorkommend war. Den Ort kannten wir, das Haus war innen gut und aussen na ja. Der Garten war nur sehr bedingt nutzbar, weil er gleichzeitig Parkplatz auch für das benachbarte Grundstück war. Hier liegt noch Potenzial. Wir haben das durch Nutzung des unmittelbar am Grundstück liegenden Strands ausgeglichen.
