Were a family who have lived in Kinsale all our lives. We enjoy sharing our knowledge of the area and love welcoming guests from around the world.

Why they chose this property

You’re staying on a coastline where history feels close but never heavy. From the Old Head you can look out over the waters where the Lusitania went down in 1915, a story locals still speak about with quiet pride. The area is full of traces of the Spanish Armada and the great Atlantic crossings that shaped so much of Ireland’s past. A short drive brings you to the fields where the Battle of Kinsale changed the course of Irish history, yet today the landscape feels peaceful and open. What I enjoy most is the mix of sea air, walking trails, colourful Kinsale streets, and that sense of connection — a place where you can relax, explore, and feel part of something with real roots.

What makes this property unique

What makes this property stand out is the combination of peaceful coastal setting and thoughtful, boutique design. The pods are laid out to give guests privacy, comfort, and a sense of space, with views and walking routes that make the outdoors part of the experience. The area is rich in heritage, from the Old Head lighthouse to Lusitania and Armada history, giving the stay a depth you don’t find everywhere. It’s a place to slow down, breathe the sea air, and enjoy a setting that feels both relaxed and rooted in the landscape.
