An outdoor staircase leads you to the vacation apartment, which features a rooftop terrace and a large gable window. The view to the west offers a wealth of sights: birds in every season, unspoiled countryside and fields surrounding the Grödersbyer Au, occasional fog, and—almost every evening—fantastic sunsets, shooting stars, and even the Northern Lights in winter.
The apartment is bright and airy with real wood floors. Pastel tones and bold accents create a warm and inviting atmosphere. A canopy over the terrace provides shelter from the midday sun and rain. The river pebbles in the bathroom are a delight to the senses. One bedroom faces the quiet courtyard, while the other opens onto the large garden.
From your lounge chair, you can read surrounded by currant bushes or gaze up at the sky. You can securely store your bicycles in the barn across the way, where the studios are also located. That’s why you’ll run into us from time to time in the courtyard.
A walk across the fields to Arnis or along the Schlei to Kappeln takes 20–30 minutes. In Arnis, the “Schleiperle” right on the water tempts visitors with ice cream or matjes herring sandwiches. Kappeln offers the Museum Harbor, the “Bi de Kark” shop with Scandinavian arts and crafts, Café Palette, and a small movie theater. By bike, you can reach Maasholm or the Stubbe fruit farm in Rieseby.
