About the host
Your host
It didn’t start with a business plan. It started with a late night, a tired guest, and a simple thought… “People deserve better than just a place to sleep.” A few years ago, I had friends visiting who worked long, exhausting shifts - early mornings on-site, late finishes, weekends away from home. I remember one evening, one of them sat down on the sofa, let out a deep breath, and said:
“This is the first time all week I’ve actually felt relaxed.”
That moment stayed with me. Not because the house was perfect. But because it felt like someone had thought about them. Fresh towels exactly where they needed them. A proper night’s sleep after a long shift. A quiet, calm space where no one was asking anything from them. That’s when something clicked.
It Became Personal I realised hosting wasn’t about keys or check-ins. It was about creating that moment - the “ahhh…” when you walk in after a long day, the “this will do nicely” when everything just makes sense, the feeling that someone has already thought about what you need before you even ask. So I started designing each stay around real people:
Contractors who just want a clean, dependable place to recharge Corporate guests who need calm, reliable comfort after long days Teams who value space, privacy, and a proper night’s sleep Professionals who are tired of soulless stays that feel temporary
And This Is My Favourite Part When guests message me saying:
“This was exactly what we needed.” “We’ll be booking again.” “We chose this place because it just felt different.”
That’s everything. Because that’s exactly why it exists.
If You’re Reading This… You’re probably working hard. You’re probably away from home. And you probably just want somewhere that makes life easier, not harder. That’s what this place is for. Not just a stay. A place that feels like someone genuinely cares that you’re here.
Why they chose this property
Why We Chose Sunderland When we first looked at Sunderland, it wasn’t just about property. It was about people. We spent time here, walking the streets early in the morning, grabbing coffee near job sites, watching crews head out for long days — construction teams, engineers, contractors, professionals all working hard, often away from home. And one thing stood out: There weren’t enough places that truly cared about where these people stayed. Plenty of options, sure. But not many that felt like they were designed with real working life in mind. That didn’t sit right with me.
Because This City Deserves Better Stays Sunderland is growing fast — projects, infrastructure, businesses expanding — and with that comes people travelling in, staying for weeks, sometimes months. People who:
Wake up early Come back tired Just want a place that’s easy, calm, and reliable
Not somewhere that feels temporary. Not somewhere you’re counting down the days to leave. But somewhere that quietly works for you.
So I Decided to Do Things Differently Instead of creating “just another rental,” I built each space around how people actually live when they’re working away. A place where:
You can properly switch off after a long shift You don’t have to think twice about anything Everything just… works
Because when your days are demanding, your evenings shouldn’t be.
And Now… This Is My Favourite Thing to Hear Guests choosing Sunderland again… and choosing this place again. Not because it’s flashy. But because it feels right. Because it feels like someone thought about them.
If You’re Coming to Sunderland for Work Whether it’s a short contract or a longer stay, you deserve more than just a bed. You deserve a place that makes the whole experience easier. That’s why this exists.
What makes this property unique
What You’ll Notice Without Me Needing to Say It You’ll notice it in the details.
The beds that actually help you recover. The layout that gives everyone their own space after a long shift. The kitchen that feels easy to use, even when you're tired. The little touches that quietly say: “We’ve thought about you.” It’s not flashy. It’s not overdone. It’s simply… right.
