The property is located in scenic surroundings and is a fantastic starting point for winter sports activities. It is only 150 meters from the ski resort and ski lifts at Rauland Ski Center, and there are cross-country ski trails and a lighted trail (2000 meters away) in the vicinity. Only 50 meters to a river, and 3000 meters to the nearest water for swimming or fishing. It is approx. It is about 3 km to the center with canoe/boat rental and various shops. Here, you can join trips to a tourist cabin on the Hardangervidda plateau, Mogen, either on foot or by boat. Gaustatoppen can be reached by mountain lift inside the mountain; about 1883 m above sea level. Should the weather be bad one day, you can visit Rjukan bad or the Heavy Water Museum a half-hour drive away. There are 2 parking spaces right by the holiday home. The holiday home is not rented to youth groups.
