We had a wonderfully enjoyable trip to Avignon and Les Angles, and this property was the most important factor. Jean-Yves and Marie have a beautiful home, which they prepared for us meticulously, and they were a phone call away if we needed anything (we didn't). The house is spacious, beautifully appointed, with delightful furnishings and art. And it was extremely functional, with air-conditioning installed in all the bedrooms, and a cool breeze and substantial walls cooling the ground floor. The kitchen is hugely well-equipped, including a lovely coffee machine (from beans to cup). We cooked every day, used the gas BBQ. The ice-maker on the fridge was fully used. All this and then the pool - which is large enough to swim, to dive, to play, and looks just as in the photos - stunningly beautiful in the garden setting. We managed the heat by getting out early, back to swim, rest and eat, then out in the late afternoon and evening. Loved the table football - a grand old original.Location-wise: only more superlatives. Eating dinner at the table on the edge of the world, looking over the wide valley to the Alpilles in the distance (we loved St Remy, perhaps our favourite town this time) and with the cooling wind a near-constant feature - no doubt as for inhabitants of previous centuries. Les Angles has an ancient beauty. We would love to return. The price per night is not cheap, but neither is it unreasonable, for what it represents. Merci à vous Marie and Jean-Yves!
