1 Bed in St. Gennys (oc-v34634)

Offering cosy accommodation for two guests, this delightful single-level property makes a fantastic holiday home for walkers, beach lovers and wildlife spotters discovering the tranquil countryside and stunning beaches along the Cornwall/Devon border. The beautifully updated and coastal-themed barn conversion is part of a small complex of properties enjoying private access to 36 acres of glorious Cornish countryside, with serene woodlands and breathtaking views. The charming sand and shingle beach at Crackington Haven is just 2.4 miles away, a popular spot for families and surfers, with rock pools and high cliffs. Heading north along the coast, you can spend a lazy day on the gorgeous sandy beach at Widemouth Bay (6.5 miles), or visit the lively seaside resort of Bude (9 miles). To the south, Tintagel (13 miles) is home to the ancient castle associated with the legends of King Arthur.

Entering this bright and inviting bolthole, you will be greeted by the spacious, delicately coastal-themed open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, with an eye-catching high vaulted ceiling adorned with traditional timber beams, and a warming biomass boiler. The light and colourful lounge area has a TV and comfortable seating, backing onto the central dining area with a table perfect for enjoying romantic meals together. The airy and stylishly arranged kitchen area has a wealth of useful equipment. When it's time to turn in for the night, head through to the tastefully decorated bedroom with its high-beamed ceiling and stunning king-size four-poster bed. The accommodation also features a refreshing bathroom.

From the bedroom, French doors lead out onto a cheerful decked area with outdoor furniture, offering a tranquil spot for dining alfresco and taking in the serene, far-reaching views. Stepping down from the decked space, the large surrounding lawn is perfect for a quiet picnic. Also on-site is a shared games room where you can play pool, darts and air hockey.
